Even if we can't actually afford them, it's nice to know they're there...

Heuer 02T is haute horlogerie that is also affordable for a COSC swiss-made tourbillon, also with Monaco V4 DNA, and arguably the finest carrera ever made (until TAG comes up with something new, lol)

I guess, but not quite in the same league as the Mikrograph etc.

key word = afforable or accessible haute horology as i would never pay those prices

the HO2T brought much of this with a price that is in an average dude’s orbit

True, but I doubt we'll see an affordable belt driven tourbillon or a 1/1000th of a second mechanical chronograph any time soon. Sadly...

no, but we will see this in the updated H02T:

“Last but not least we will have the first ever chronograph, chronometer, tourbillon equipped with carbon nanotube hairspring which adds an incredible stability in the accuracy of the watch as it is also 100% anti magnetic and 100% anti thermic.”

TAG is certainly capable of anything but it seems the H02T technical prowess is more in line with pieces from the entry level brand for LVMH

and still bonafide haute horology (hope i spelled that right, lol)

i guess my main point is they are still offering haute horology, albeit not as technical or expensive which some enthusiasts benefit from being accessible luxury, which is what TH is about (ie formula 1, quartz, connected) - it seems to me to be more in line with these goals on the high end of what is TH

i enjoy your shares and input - the videos of JCB as well, his influence on the product line is what led me back to TH

    Tsk, tsk... haute horlogerie. ;)

I think it's a shame that TAG are positioned as the entry level brand but then Hublot don't pick up the mantle of doing the good stuff.

Nobody gives a flying fig about Zenith really, anyway...

My only beef with the legendary Elprimero is that it is a non-hacking movement. I like to set my watch down to the second.

    Still a legendary movement though.

Ah, but even if you did Jim, you are enlightened enough not to become an Omegaboi.;)

I normally did not gave reply on youtube.

But there was this one time i got the need of sharing information with someone.

So after watching the video of the watch i forgot which one. His comment was something like "sh*t movement with sh*tty Dubois Depraz module"...man, i am used to people bashing Tag Heuer. I have no limit on that. But Dubois Depraz ?! Seriously ? Did he have any idea how big Dubois Depraz is ?

Then i told him, to make fun of DD showed lack of knowledge. Eveb AP use DB chrono module.

Then he even dare to ask which AP, care to elaborate ?

I just send him the link

    https://www.google.co.id/amp/s/www....-of-all-modern-royal-oak-offshores?format=amp

He never came back, not even once after that...

Some people just have this thing about TAG being shitty and no amount of intelligent discussion will dissuade them. I usually drop in the Micrograph and the V4 as examples of TAG brilliance, but really it's a waste of breath. People just get this idea in their heads that Omega (particularly) are the thing and for some reason they need to bolster their insecurities by dumping on another brand for no reason. I don't know if it's partly because TAG styling is sometimes a little brash, they can't take watches seriously unless they look boring somehow... ::rant:
