Wouldn't that be difficult with three layers of material?
I've seen someone on facebook substitute a clasp for the buckle on their Gulf F1 strap, which is pretty thick. So I believe it could work on your strap too, regardless of the layers. Unless the strap is too thick or too thin to fit on the part of the clasp that clamps down on the strap.

Found the facebook post, this will give you an idea @Aquagraph. The trick will be finding the right size clasp for your strap. The one in this pic is an Aquaracer clasp (FC5062). But it's not the right size for the F1, as it's 18mm, the guy just squeezed it on to force the fit.

Not really sure if it's worth the hassle and expense.... apparently the FT8024 is £110 so that may be the best solution. Failing that maybe the BA0842 bracelet. I just don't think the Hirsch Robby is going to look right with it, it has too much going on for me.

Superb post today Aqua-G 👍 I agree that internet probably gives the illusion of offering a broad variety of things but most people go after the same things, constantly being bombed with the same watches over and over in social media. If you didnt fancy a steel Rolex when getting interested in watches, chances are you will eventually desire one. In the Swedish forum I am active many people often say to new members "just wait, eventually you will see why Rolex is the best" 🙄

Glad you enjoyed it.... t'was a difficult post to write - rewrote it several times until it came to the point where I needed a post for today and had nothing else so....

Don't play it so safe @Aquagraph, push the boat out and get the Robby.

If they made a plain black Robby I probably would... why do they only make it with contrasting colours?

Well it's your watch, so whatever works best for you. But if it were me, the FT8024 & BA0842 seem kind of boring compared to the OEM strap. Do any of your other watches have a clasp close in size? If so, you could test things out. Or buy an aftermarket clasp, plenty of reasonably priced ones out there.

Hmmm.... I'm still not sure it's going to solve the problem. I think lining the strap might be a better solution, since I think it's the material itself that is irritating.

I think they know they will sell that, so the price is a bit higher than normal.
