I have Rolexes, so no Tudors for me. 😀

Most people usually have additional insurance on their watches, either as a standalone insurance or tied up with their home insurance. By your response, I don't think you had one. If you had one, you could've possibly explored that option for getting the rightful compensation.
do you have an independent valuation for this assumption or is it based on C24? C24 or any other online portal will not be considered a credible source for evaluating a watch's price as those are the prices defined by the individual consumers based on their opinions. You'll find the same watch ranging from 3000-10000 $ for example on these portals (might be an exaggeration, but you get the idea).
Best to talk to a lawyer in your country on the matter.
Does that mean you chose a replacement? Which one? The Aquaracer Pro 300 GMT? Not too bad an outcome tbh if so, and you can move on.
You haven't really answered the question as to how you arrived at the valuation for the watch that you did. Why do you think it was worth 950 more than the original purchase price? In terms of what you are "entitled" to, TAG have made their policy clear and would argue that you have been provided with an equivalent new watch, so it would be up to a judge to decide. Anything we say will just be opinion rather than fact.
Presumably now you have accepted a replacement it's moot anyway... I'm sure the fine print will say that's the end of it.
Where do you get the price 5150 in the current catalogue, which model do you look at? The CBC2110 for example costs 4450
Surely putting you back in the situation you were before would mean giving you the second-hand value of the watch not the value of a new replacement? Or offering to build you a new one from parts which they offered as one of the options. Personally I feel that in getting a new watch of your choice up to the new value of the original is reasonable compensation. I mean they could have offered more as a gesture of goodwill and to ensure your complete satisfaction but personally I would take it and move on. I'm sure you've wasted enough of your life on this already.
Second hand value of an old CT2111 is like £900.... you loose a £900 watch and you got a brand new WBP2010 out of this? And you're complaining? 😒😁 I would be super happy!

S shyboyPoint being I wanted information as to liability, not whether I should put it behind me. I was successful and simply wished to understand if Tag was being fully responsible for their liability. That's it, nothing more.
