I would normally agree with you but, in this case, the simplicity of a uniform dial colour is a real triumph.

·The in person photos of this watch posted so far, don't look as nice as the official photos to my eye. Perhaps the watch isn't too photogenic. So I was hoping to see one in the metal, as I was in Tokyo on business and stopped by an Hour Glass store yesterday. But unfortunately they didn't have it, the sales guy said they never got one for sale.

You have not only the honor of being the first forum member to get one, but moreover, owning one of the most different and striking looking Monaco's on the market. Well done! Had the Hour Glass store I visited had one in stock, I might have been sorely tempted. 😜
I'd love to see a pic with the brown strap placed next to the dial. I think I like it better with the black strap too, but the brown strap could provide a nice complementary look to the beige creme dial.

I can also see why we have such a long break to the next TH Monaco 50. Aug being a summer break month, Sept is the month for this hourglass40 Monaco, and hence the next Monaco 50 in Oct.

·Tried to get the brown strap by the watch but the lighting is terrible.....Also dug out my original F1 from 1990, still works.
