I bought mine at the TH boutique at Crystals in Las Vegas on July 11th. I like the NATO band, but felt it was a little too much red so I talked them into throwing in a black rubber TH band witch I think tones it down just enough. AussieAlex, I have to agree with you a black leather band with red stitching would look very nice and dress it up a little more than the rubber strap.

Anyone have any recommendations for a nice black leather with red stitching and a clasp for this?

Not exactly what you're asking for, but I would try a genuine TAG Heuer FC6310 strap.

Congrats. The NATO strap is my favorite part of this model; it really make it pop.

Nice watch, but i'm not sold on these new F1's having fixed bezels, i know it goes with the tachymetre, but alas, i prefer the older ones.

Indeed. I was also disappointed when I got the new F1 earlier this year and realized the bezel was fixed. Not a deal breaker, but it would have been a nice touch to have it move, like the old F1's.

That black one on the right brings back memories, still miss my old blue one.

Here's one of my old one next to the ~41.5mm SMPC, the F1 never felt small by any means when I wore it, it wasn't until its side by side with something that big that it feels that small.

My sentiments exactly. Looks like your F1 lived a tough life, as the luminescent markers came apart.

In high school it did many years of competitive teams racing sailing puffin pacers, every other watch I'd worn had been beaten half to death and wrecked, including Seiko and Citizen "sailing" watches.

One of the things I think really helps these F1s is that its so incredibly light compared to most modern watches, has such a flexible bracelet, and shock absorbing fibreglass bezel that every time a boom or cleat smashed into it, it sort of deflected and glanced off rather than hitting it and going bang.

The fibreglass bezel does take a lot of dings, but it really does an effective job of protecting the watch from damage.

Could someone be so kind to measure and post the exact width of the NATO strap, please?

I ask so that others with F1 models can order different kinds. Many thanks in advance.
