the strap is an issue as it is so stiff it doesn’t allow the watch to sink into the wrist - rather it sits on it, and thus accentuates the thickness. It’s not uncommon.
I expect supply won’t be an issue, the bb58 and gmt supply settled down within 6 months so you could just order one.

Lovely watch. The patina will only make it look better. Here photos of my Yema new and now. Preference is obvious for me. If you don’t like the patina a simple copper cleaning will make it look like new so no worries.
