the strap is an issue as it is so stiff it doesn’t allow the watch to sink into the wrist - rather it sits on it, and thus accentuates the thickness. It’s not uncommon.

Ah yes. I've got quite some experience with the Jean Rousseau nylon strap. They come out feeling quite stiff but after a couple wears it breaks in and becomes intensely comfortable. If you're only wearing it once in a while it will definitely feel stiff though.

I expect supply won’t be an issue, the bb58 and gmt supply settled down within 6 months so you could just order one.
Yep, that’s what I’d expect and I hope it happens. It’s a really good watch.

Of course we see other models such as ceramic, chrono and fxd in dribbles so who knows. But 2 of those are limited by movement issues so hopefully they’ll be available.

there is obviously a market and cost of living etc is only going to get worse so maybe they’d be well advised to strike while the iron is hot. That said, the U.K. must be the last place they want to sell watches with Sterling as weak as it is.

Kevin 'It's a great investment, it will sell well'

Teddy 'But do you like it?"

Kevin 'I just said it's a great investment'

Teddy 'But do you actually like it?'

Kevin 'What do you mean?'

Teddy 'Do you personally like it?'

Kevin 'I don't understand.... I've told you it's a great investment and it will be successful'.

Teddy 'But do you actually, personally LIKE it?'

Kevin '.... why does that matter?'

Many are "watch enthusiasts" for the potential investment their watch might bring.

Only a few are "watch enthusiasts" for the sole purpose of passion and love for it.

Looking good!

In case you haven't seen this one, it gives an idea of what the patina might look like a year later.

Yes thanks! Interesting it seems to stabilise after a couple of months according to the reviewer

Oh yeah, that's why I never bought that bronze Autavia. I knew there was a reason.

Lovely watch. The patina will only make it look better. Here photos of my Yema new and now. Preference is obvious for me. If you don’t like the patina a simple copper cleaning will make it look like new so no worries.

Every time I watch these videos with Teddy and Kevin I get the impression this guy really doesn't know what he's talking about. He seems like a businessman who just speed reads the notes for the meeting and then makes it sound like he does. Plus he doesn't say 'I've always preferred smaller watches' but instead 'smaller watches are cool now so I am buying them'.

I think it's because he collects watches in much higher price brackets normally. When he does videos with Teddy, he's being shown a world he's not familiar with. But you're right, he appears not to know much, if anything, about the history of even the more famous Swiss brands like Tudor.

He's more of a 'collector' they way I see it, similar with people who collect art, purely financial is the reasoning behind his purchases.
