Just got my copy of Mastering Time. Cover is a bit ruffled, but the book itself is perfect. £4.99 off eBay! (It's 13" x 11" and pretty thick).
How is that one?

I was a bit disappointed on the quality of the "Carrera Ahead of its Time" book; the quality of the print (pages) is a bit poor. I was also able to find some minor errors on the pictures. Two examples included the the loss of color in the 300 SLR and the Jack Heuer 80 substituted for the 2016 model cv211e.

I haven't really had time to read it as yet... there's not a massive amount of watch pics in there to be honest, a lot of 'coffee table' type photos of boats, F1 cars, athletes etc... seems to be a decent amount of text as well.

A whole bunch of typos and a chunk of repeated text - I think I mentioned this on another thread. Very poor proof reading!

From what I could tell, it was mostly a compilation of different sources and previous publishings.

The definitive Heuer Carrera book in my mind is still:
Heuer Carrera Chronographs 1963-85 by R. Crosthwaite & P. Gavin

I believe you; I haven't gotten a chance to read it. Just quickly browsed through the pages. 🙁

But.... that stops right before Heuer became TAG Heuer. This cannot be right! 😉
Yeah; the definitive historic book has yet to be written. Maybe it should be issued by @Calibre11.

Indeed, I'd buy it!
Since Hubert owns every tag ever made (give or take) it makes sense that he writes the whole Tag era parts of the book 👍

Thanks Jim. Certainly if you put together the collective players of this community, we would have a pretty complete representation of the TAG Heuer history. 😀

Great! 😀 I think you got the last one!

Just got my 150 Years book, still shrink wrapped... thanks for posting the link Albert-AMG, a lovely addition to my growing collection! 😀

Couldn't stand having my new helmet just sitting on the mantle piece so I went out and bought a bike.
Going for my learners licence in a few weeks.
Didn't realise that helmet would change my life so much.

I love it, especially the order in which you are doing things 😎

Apparently yes... Only time will tell. If I do come off at least I'll have the right head protection.

Nice, they usually go for big money, £200+

There's an 'antique' shop near me that has several Rolex wall clocks, no TAG ones though...

Found this cap on ebay. Should have it by the end of next week.
Embroidered on side, BUCHERER 1888.
