These are miles ahead of the previous generation. The blue one is nice but the black dial is the winner for me. striking dial proportions, well done by Bove. Overall the case is very nice, including the brushed surfaces. Head on the lugs look stunning and from those shots this watch would def land on my want list. From the profile pics however the lugs seem chopped. Same issue I had with the 44mm. I don't know if I'll get used to that. The bezel seems massive in comparison to the 160. But this crystal is a lot nicer. The bracelet seems to work a lot better on this Carrera than any other I can remember. Not a fan of the mushroom pushers and the crown design doesn't seem to have the design elegance as the rest of the watch. But I can live with that. The 'heuer 02' and '80 hours' on the dial are completely useless. Overall a very nice watch.

Love the classic layout with the 6pm date position.

Glad they have worked to get the thickness down.

Does the text HEUER 02 80 HOURS really need to be on the dial itself? At least it is hidden away.

Removing that text would literally be the only (well and a 41mm diameter case) change I would make.

    I'm properly impressed!!!

@Calibre11 are the bracelets and straps quick release?

    Conventional Spring Bar @Mr_Orange.
Pity can't use the Connected Quick release straps.

Just found out it's 48.2mm. Not too bad considering.

Yep saw that on the OTD Review.
Is that where you saw it also?
Quite an extensive review with lots of points of reference from Early Model Carrera.

Price in Aus is not too bad at $7,700.

I don't think we are ever going to see Carrera H02 under this price ever again.

The old Models at $6250 represent good value and I reckon you could get a discount on that. Maybe around 5.5k for a Calibre 16.

Is an extra 2k worth it for the new model?

I just edited my reply above as there was a 'not' missing.

You won't pay $7,700 in the boutique though. They would pretty much offer 10% off for walking in the door and that's just the start of the negotiation.

    Oh ok.. That makes sense.
Do you think 6.5k is achievable in Boutique?
    Being such a new model?

Why couldn't they just do a 2-register version and a 3-register version, instead of one half-ass mashup of both? ::facepalm1::

The bones are there, it's very close - even at 42mm (should be 39 or 40 of course) but that vestigial running seconds is just gross ::puke::

We seem to be missing one. The email I saw from Tag announcing them a while ago showed 4 variations.
