    Indeed.

That chap from Watchfinder who does their videos has a very 'listenable' voice.

Just shows how GREAT this TAG Heuer Carrera is! It’s beauty & appeal encompasses not just the TH watch collectors & enthusiasts, but probably the whole watch community as well! Passion Precision Perfect! Kudos to TAG Heuer & Calibre11 ::psy::

Yeah, they have very well produced videos. Although I did notice dust particles in one of the crystals on this latest video.

I kinda wish they would choose Telemeter to be featured there. But well, yeah, any vintage inspired Carrera is good enough. The right size and all that.

I heard the Heuer02 Carrera is a lot thicker though...

The Telemeter would have been a terrible choice. It wasn't that popular, it is not timeless and that glass box...... well, let's not go there!

Are you sure? The Telemeter is sold out everywhere, and those that come on the used market get snapped up almost imediately. Prices seem pretty high too. I know, because I've been looking for one at a decent price for a couple of years now, to no avail.

I watched the Watchfinder video yesterday as well - switched off after the Carrera. It did get me searching eBay and Chrono 24 for "cv2117" :) This is another watch that has been on my radar, probably for about the last 7 years, but something is stopping me pulling the trigger.

Well, if we're including prototypes, I'd like to make a case for this carbon Carrera that unfortunately never saw the light of day but that I shamelessly hogged at the Carrera 50th anniversary event! Unfortunately David couldn't make that but some of you will recognise Jeff Stein of OnTheDash and a few of you might even know Guy Semon, who heads up R&D at LVMH.

I prefer pump pushers vs mushroom and a thinner overral profile, but DAMN both black/white dials have great contrast -- and those red accents are hot. Jeez.

side note: The unreleased CH80 was actually what attracted me to this brand. Ironic it never launched. (at least for me)

I am still keeping faith that one of these years, we'll get new Carreras in 41mm in a 3-6-9 register configuration with the Heuer02 movement.

That was a disaster- I was due to meet Mark in Basel and had to bail out the day before I was due to fly out...next time Mark, but looks like it will be Geneva rather than Basel.

Much of the dynamic history of Heuer & TAG Heuer all gravitates to this ONE man. The persistence, dedication & innovation of JACK HEUER is for me, the inspiration I’m looking for & what keeps this passion burning for Heuer/TAG Heuer. After the JH85 Autavia & the JH80 Carrera, I knew in myself I’d also want to get a Carrera 1887 Bullhead, as a tribute to Heuer’s roots as a stopwatch maker & to honor this man I regard so highly. I never doubted my loyalty to TAG Heuer and the values it stand for  Cheers to everyone!

amazing pics. And I share the sentiment about the Brand. Without the great mans vision drive and passion I doubt anything of note would exist today. They would likely be an also tan rather than a brand with such a strong legacy,

Appreciate your kind words sir @THJunkie ! :) When you read & discover the history of Heuer’s most iconic watch models, you simply can not ignore JH’s immense contribution as a leader & driving force of the brand.
1962 - Autavia (initially as a dashboard timer but became a watch chronograph under JH’s leadership, highly poular among F1 racing pilots in the 60s/70s due to JH’s sports marketing strategy that brought us Siffert, Rindt & Andretti Autavias to name a few)
1963 - Carrera (a creation of JH & has become iconic through its simple & straightforward design, a masterclass in itself)
1969 - Monaco (JH as a testament of avant-garde, patented the first automatic chronograph, first water resistant square case & thru a movie property master became legendary with SMQ’s LeMans)
