Wow very nice article sir David @Calibre11 ::psy::

I love the Carrera so much! It’s really my dream watch ever since ::love::

Carrera meaning “Race” or “Career” (as JH mentioned in one of his interviews). For me, it kinda reflects your companion in the “journey” of our lives. ::rimshot::

Is it just me or is it, I find the 41st Anniversary Carrera looking strangely similar with the Carrera Calibre 18 Telemeter? ;) Both Carrera by the way looks stunningly beautiful in their own right

Do you think they will do a Re-Edition of the Gold Carrera? Like the ones they usually give to Formula 1 World Champions? ::psy::

I think they did but only one or two examples. I think one of them, for some insanely strange reason, were given to a soccer player I have never heard of or something like that...

That one is so perfect and balanced, with the strap and Tag logo really completing the whole package

To be honest, I was actually surprised with the list. :) I thought the rare Carreras will be the one who will make it. I was meaning to share this to you guys but haven’t been able to do so. And serendipitously, now is a great time! Got this JH80 Carrera just a few days before lockdown started. I was thinking of whether to pull the trigger in this one but I’m very happy (& lucky) I did  It felt so much about TAG Heuer’s core & history, it was really hard for any Heuer fanatic to pass.

For me, the story of Heuer / TAG Heuer, is the journey & life of a man who struggled, survived and succeeded! We can not talk about the Carrera without mentioning the man who created it. Sir Jack Heuer  For me, JH is pure passion, ingenuity and visionary rolled into one. I agree that the JH80 Carrera invokes design elements of the original Carrera but also made it quite modern in today’s standards. How can it go wrong? The man who invented the Carrera, Jack Heuer designed this JH80 himself! ;)

Many thanks again to sir @Hubert for letting me have this Carrera book ::love::

Stay safe at home guys! We are all in this together! Keep up the good vibes & hope alive!

Very nice addition. Still miss my JH80th. Maybe will pick it up again some day. Prices seem quite reasonable at the moment.

Haha thank you very much sir! :) I never thought it will be considered one of the best Carreras out there. I just know deep inside my heart, it’s a beautiful version of the Carrera that’s why I bought it, even without any influence or perception from anyone ::love:: In a way i feel very lucky to pull the trigger  Thanks again sir!

Thank You sir! I got quite lucky to be honest :) I had the JH85 Autavia first and i thought it would be nice to get a JH80 Carrera also. I’ve been impressed with Jack Heuer even more after reading his biography ;)

This reminds me why I truly wanted a Carrera 1887! It has been 10 Years since the Carrera 1887 won the GHPG LA PETITE AIGUILLE Award! (2010) The Heuer 300 SLR which is from the same family, has the same case, size & movement! Just a testament how timeless this watch can be (pun)

My first Carrera which is a 1887 was a wedding gift to me by my wife ;) And my second Carrera, also a 1887, is a wedding gift to myself :p Although both are 43mm! Cheers to the Carrera! :) Again great article by sir David @Calibre11

Brilliant article. Can't disagree with the JH80th, or the Ronnie Peterson, especially as a fan of the driver, as well as the historical design influences.

Seeing all these other Carrera's does make the choice so difficult. The Mclaren MP4 12c edition I love, the 1974 Mclaren is striking, and Im not even a Mclaren fan!!!!

Keeps the articles coming, and stay safe everyone.
