Dear all. I have a 64 re-issue and now found something older.
But did not find an example on internet. So it is rare or not original.
Your help is highly appreciated!

Any idea on the model, age, and authenticity of this watch?

Hello! I'm new on the forum, also new collecting watches, i have a heuer but i can't find any info on the net, was wondering if any can help me identifying it.
I can't find any serial numbers, just a 12 marked on the back, maybe someone erased the numbers? Or maybe is to vintage?

Best regards from mexico! And thanks to all

Possibly too late for the OP, but I have an unused NOS case for this watch - just the main case with the inner tachymetre scale bezel. Finished in the original black.
I would accept 拢100 GBP, if interested.

Hello Gents, I just picked up a "Heuer" Leonidas watch from Ebay and wondering if anyone can tell me if this is real. My research shows Heuer and Leonidas did not merge until 1964 and the seller listed this as a 1950's watch. The watch appears more like it's from the 1940's to me. Also, movement is stamped "Leonidas" instead of "Heuer." The dial as been repainted for sure but I'm wondering if this is an authentic Heuer or the logo was just painted on. The logo also doesn't look period correct as Heuer had a different logo in the 50's I believe. If anyone can give me some real honest insight into this, I would very much appreciate it.

Hi Jax.

Yes, I'm afraid that watch definitely predates the Heuer and Leonidas merger. The Leonidas brand was basically totally subsumed in that merger too, the two names didn't share dial space.

I'd say the watch is from the 40s too, the non-waterproof pushers are usually a good indicator for that. Certainly Heuer hadn't used them since the early 50s, long before the merger came to pass. The import code on the movement is for Enicar, rather than either Heuer (AOC) or Leonidas (BCD or CXL).

Hi, looks Nice and real, yes? What better way to witness the end of civilization than to have this on your wrist?

Hi, better question is, is there something about it that makes you think it isn't real? If you're considering buying it, maybe ask the seller to show you the case back - if he has been wearing it on that strap for a long time, it could have worn in the metal a bit.

Don't know if I should post this here at Vintage or New. Looking to buy this TAG for 110$. Only have that picture. Justin from Tag1000Diver says it's real, but I'm still skeptical.

Picture isn't the best, but I'd say it's probably real. It's in a bit of a state obviously. The date looks to be in the middle of changing and yet it's only 8pm, so the movement will probably need looking at. Also looks to be evidence of mositure having got into the watch at some point.

I think I might fully replace the movement.

A new movement, case, bracelet, dial, hands and bezel and it'll be as good as new. 馃榾

Recently bought a vintage Heuer that seems to have been issued to the Kenyan Air Force, an Autavia ref 73663. Doesn't seem to be in the best shape, seller claims it is 100% original but I've never bought a Heuer before so I'm not sure. It has a Heuer branded bracelet, crown, and a 7736 movement, with 'KAF-171' on the caseback. Can anyone attest to the authenticity?

If you bought this off eBay for $700 from a 0-feedback seller, you should be contacting your payment provider right now to stop payment and get a refund. That listing is almost certainly a scam, and even if you do receive a package to your address it likely will contain a rock / old batteries / some old worthless watch, going by previous anecdotes.

Hello, first time posting, could anyone help me identify this watch, I know it has some wrong parts, I guess what im trying to figure out is if its authentic? and how difficult is it to get the correct parts for the watch if it is actually an authentic piece.

Thanks!

Phil
I know this is an older post but we must alert all vintage HEUER buyers.

This is more than just a frankenwatch, it is a deliberate 100% fake parts made and distributed by a Vietnamese group (read as gang) in California.
There was an article by Fratello Brothers exposing these guys and they are active on eBay still. Some hints besides the obvious: The background and lighting are always the same.

another article that points bin their direction:

Where do you see this on eBay for $700? I could only find this. Went for 拢4500 and the seller has 551/99.6% feedback. Sold on 30th April, though, so perhaps there's a more recent listing for it I can't find. Pictures are the same, though, so agree, someone may have "borrowed" them for a fake listing.

Already spoke with @whats_shakin who has gotten his money back.

(eBay links expire, so here's a screenshot of the scam posting)

Some group in the Netherlands has been doing these for the past couple weeks.

Ahh, the proverbial too good to be true. Incidentally I have rolled the dice on a few absurdly cheap vintage heuers and all but one were real. I鈥檓 ashamed to say I did fall for the Franken bandits but thankfully Jeff Stein steered me in the money back direction and a happy ending.

Hi all. I am new to the forum. I also know nothing about watches so please forgive me for any stupid questions. I was given a Heuer watch a year or so ago that was my wife鈥檚 grandfather鈥檚. I got to looking into it and am very curious if it is authentic or not. It is not in very good condition. It was worn as a regular watch for years. Anyway, I can鈥檛 even figure out the exact model. Please help me out if you can.
