Is this real or fake? wbd1110
Post pictures of the front, ensuring the bezel is in clear focus.

Also, remove a pin from the bracelet and post a picture of the pin & collar.

Overall it looks fine, even the movement. Likely one of the last ETAs fitted before moving to the Ronda movements. Bezel lume is a little iffy, but likely down to the picture.

Checking a pin & collar is just a final step.

Also it does not say Tag Heuer anywhere on the movement itself.
Please do let me know what you think.
Thanks

Looks fine - later ETA movements were not always branded, and it may also have been replaced.

I looked at Instagram pics from some known ADs. From what I can tell, when released in Feb 2022, the Red Bull F1 had raised number markers. Then sometime in 2023 it seems there was changed to the flat style number markers.

This shot is from an AD in June 2022, the numbers are raised.
This one from June 2023, the numbers look flat.
This one from Mar 2024, the numbers look flat.
Wow, so not only did they put the price up they also cheaped out on the dial.... wow. How is anyone supposed to spot a fake when they do things like that?

It does make it harder to spot fakes when TAG makes running model changes like this. ::facepalm1::

In looking at all the early photos and videos from 2022, the Red Bull F1 always has raised number markers.
Seems like the change was done in 2023 around the time of the Gulf F1's release, which also had the flat style number markers.
The 2023 Indy 500 (above) also changed to the flat numbers, whereas the previous year's 2022 Indy 500 (below) was raised like the 2022 Red Bull F1.

I think TAG Heuer changed the CAZ101AL Red Bull F1 to the flat style markers in 2023 to be on par with its other 2023 F1 releases.

Shameful loss of the expected Swiss quality we are accustomed to getting for our big bucks. 🙁

I know, right!? If I had bought the Red Bull F1 in 2022 with applied indices, I'd think these later ones with flat numbers were cheap looking fakes! 😕

Is this authentic?
Model # CAZ101N.FC8243

I suspect it's a fake.

The sub-dial's color looks off, should be more of an off-white, less silver. The strap material also looks off and the orange thread color doesn't look right. The checkered flag pattern on the case-back seems off.

It's fake - key flaw on the CAZ101N fakes is visible in the bezel spacing. Other flaws include the subdial edges and dial print. While I agree with @Mspeedster on the caseback and that the colours look off, colour flaws could be down to the lighting/camera.

That said, the bezel flaw is enough. Like the CAZ101AU bezel flaw, it's definitive.

I agree that lighting and camera can distort colors, that's why I said suspect. But now that I look at it again, I'm also certain it's fake.

This is a model I know very well, having owned mine since very shortly after its debut. The strap material and the shape of the padding are the easy tells for me, and the straps have a wrong shade of orange thread.

Along with the bezel spacing, the flaw in the checkered flag pattern on the case-back is another definitive tell that it's fake.
