Is my TAG Heuer Authentic? All questions here please

·R RileyGot this watch from my grandpa, I’ve found many similar looking models online(CG1110-0),but not the exact one, most alarmingly for me is how there is no “professional” written above the 200 meters and no serial number on the back, is my watch legit? or was my grandpa swindled
It's legit. Some earlier versions omitted the "Professional" text on the dial (applies to a few watches, in fact). It could use a refinish, but it's genuine.

·K KDJI'm no expert, but I'd say it is from what you have shown. Are you able to show the back?
Also, a good way to find out would be to open the back.

·I'm very very suspicious of eBay accounts that have sold multiple TAG watches or any other high end watch. Like, who really has that many watches to sell. Normally all of the same model. I do also see sellers that have sold multiple new 'genuine' watches. I do ask myself, who has so many new high end watches that you would sell on eBay?
You could also have buyers that do fall for these fakes, or think they are actually genuine as the TAG fakes are really good these days.
That's just my opinion.
In regards to your watch, you're right about, a 15 year old fake and still looks that good (if it is 15 years old). That would make me believe this is a genuine watch. Nothing stands out to me to suggest it could be fake. Other than, you say the seller has sold 6 in the last few months, makes me suspicious.
You could also have buyers that do fall for these fakes, or think they are actually genuine as the TAG fakes are really good these days.
That's just my opinion.

·The amount of accounts i have reported is beyond a joke. And it's more shocking that eBay took zero action against any of my reports.
You tell them the reasons why they are fakes and they don't want to listen or be bothered to take any action.
If i see one that appears genuine to me, i will always message the seller and ask for more info, proof of purchase, pictures of the movement etc. If i don't get a reply, then it's obvious they are not interested in selling a fake to someone who's going to check the watch and request a refund if found to be fake. They won't want to risk having the account closed.

If I get the watch to my local AD, and he certify the watch is fake, then I get him to make me some "fake certificate", send it to eBay, and then refund ??

·For people new to this thread, please don't tell us you are taking your watch to an AD to be authenticated. People who work in shops are trained to sell watches. If you bought a Dyson on line and thought it was fake would you take it to Currys to ask them to authenticate it? No, that would be ridiculous. A guy in a shop may be able to spot a fake, but that doesn't mean he can 'authenticate' a watch. If your AD will put it in writing then maybe you can take them seriously, but otherwise...

I fully agree - I've even tried contacting the CSRs to point out the issues, but they always just keep circling back to asking for an item report.
I can imagine the authenticators would be happy to dismiss fake reports, as if they get sent a watch that can easily be proven fake they make their fee anyway.

TAG seem as apathetic as eBay, honestly - they've apparently done nothing to try and curb fakes.
