Hi, can i ask what the giveaways are with this watch? I'm pretty new to this and have just bought 2 TAGs myself. 1 from an AD and another pre owned.
Same here…

What's the giveaway that makes you so certain, @flawless? 👎
The main giveaway is that it looks nothing like a WAY201B. Have you guys even studied a genuine one in detail to compare?

When going to AD sites, that model looks just like the one on that link.

Is this not the same watch/model?

The bezel pip. Five other things are good indicators (that I've spotted), but I've no intention of giving the people faking these watches tips to improve.

I thought it was about helping genuine buyers spot any potential fakes.

I very much doubt those that make fakes are scouring forums looking for things they are doing wrong. Especially when today's fakes are sometimes hard to spot the difference to most people.

There's no real point listing the differences in a spot-the-difference game when the person asking isn't going to use the information any further or go around spotting fakes themselves. You are welcome to compare genuine and fake yourself and learn the differences - you can use the picture you linked as a reference for a genuine WAY201B.

Hahaha you don't know what I'm going to do with the information (lack of) or why I'm wanting to know.

Forget I even asked as you seem unwilling to share any knowledge you seem to have, or maybe you really don't.

My comment was a general one about people asking if their watch is fake. In response to me posting an image of a fake, you posted an image of a genuine watch and claimed it was the same but it has noticeably different details. The information is there, but like I said - I'm not giving fakers notes nor will I be persuaded into doing so by some pathetic goading.

I also linked to the eBay listing, which in itself is more evidence of the seller's watches being fake - repeatedly listing common fakes with identical pictures.

It is the same model indeed. But if you think they look the same you aint looking close enough 👍 it took me one second to spot that the watch posted by @flawless is fake.

No need to report to ebay though. They wont take it down since they make too much money running their illegal operation and people across the world are happy making "a great deal" buying fake shit.

Hi, what stands out to me (not positive I'm afaid) is the markers at the 5, 15, 25, 35, 45 and 55, these are normally in line with the notches on the bezel.

Also, the quality of the serial number/model look off. The spacing looks off and on 2 of my TAG's, the letters/numbers don't touch. The 29 appear closer to the bottom of the window, rather than central.

Not sure if it's just the angle of your pictures, but the numbers in the date window don't site in the middle.

Ask yourself what a chronograph is supposed to do, not show a subdial with a count to 31 (days of the month) and 7 (days of the week) for sure.

Aside from the fact it looks nothing like a genuine model, real stainless steel does not age or wear in this way. There is no Swiss made quality here.

Hehe where did you find them ? Really fake for sure. On the other hand, i can see why people get scammed. They look ok for most people.

I was actually consulted on authenticity by former work colleagues - they were offered them for purchase. They already bought another watch that I'll be taking a look at next week, but these two were "politely declined".

Hi, out of curiosity, are you able to say what stands out on both watches to saybthey are fake? Just so I know what to look for when purchasing preowned Tags. Thanks.

Lume pip on bezel and printing on sticker hang tag. Lume pip can be seen in this thread. Printing on the large bottom stickers are too far right.
