·Hey there folks. I'm new to the site. I have been looking for a particular time piece. The CAR201T.BA0766 . I have been into so many TAG dealers in my area and surrounding. I'm coming down to using the dreaded Ebay. I found somebody 45 minutes away and I'd like to be well armed before meeting. I don't see this Carrera Skeleton faked online and if I have my laptop with me I can check the site for serial information. Is there anything that you can share for a new "used" TAG buyer? Maybe a link to a better thread to educate myself? Thank you everyone.

·The criminal organisation operating under the name Ebay never stops amazing us!
After reporting a number of obvious fakes (which were dismissed), I received a message telling me that I was sending excessive spurious reports (or words to that effect). Every time I've spoken to CSRs about issues reporting and reports being dismissed (despite being ridiculously obvious) they've been completely uninterested - instead fixating on the idea that I want to report an item, rather than complain about the reporting system as a whole.
I don't bother reporting fakes anymore.

·Hi All; could I get your views if you think the watch below on the ebay link is real? I made the error in buying a fake one of these back in 2021 and thanks to this site it was spotted as a fake and I got my money back. I dont want to fall for the same thing twice! thanks in advance.

·I have this watch and it was a nightmare to find one (this was back before Covid). It's kinda suspicious to me how easy it is to find these now considering this was a 2016 'novelty'. My recommendation would be to make an offer to Watchfinder on this one

·Hi Aquagraph, yes they are hard to find, back in 2021 I got a fake one from ebay lucky I got my money back, then found a new one via Tom at Bicester (i think it was you who suggested I try him) however it had a scratch (not a bad one) and I sent it back - wish I'd just kept it now! The ebay seller has confirmed that the claps balls are black painted so this one is a fake as the real are silver! I'll have a look at the watchfinder one, never used them before...everything is defo genuine then?

·Oh right, I remember. Wasn't it the last one in Germany or something? Yes, there are lots of fakes of this model around so it's one of those I would be extremely cautious about. Since you have seen both real and fake, was the colour right? Because to me the 'sand' print on the genuine one has an almost green tint to it.
As far as Watchfinder goes, the great thing is the warranty, and also of course they aren't going anywhere so if one day you send it back to TH and they say it is fake then you can go back to WF and get your money back. They have a reputation to uphold and they definitely do check the watches they get in, even watches they sell for third parties.
Plus of course, if you don't like it when it comes you can just send it back without any hassle.

·I bet they would take £1550-1600, so that extra few hundred for a warranty and peace of mind is probably worth it.

·Hi, I recently bought this TAG Heuer Aquaracer Calibre 5 Automatic. From what I can tell it looks genuine to me. Serial number and warranty details match on the TAG site. The lumes look very strong and look stronger than in this picture. The quality feels and look like a TAG Heuer Formula 1 that I bought from a AD. I know they say the fakes these days are very good. The bezel moves smoothly and has the right amount of clicks. The crown also screws smoothly. I was just wondering if people could have a look at my pictures and see if they can spot any giveaways that I might have missed. Thanks in advance.
