@Aquagraph can let us know when WF lists it for sale again. Then @jamesbizs can buy it in the name of counterfit science
I was going to follow up with this they should have it listed within the next few days and I will keep an eye out. I also did let them know all of the concerns regarding the watch so maybe they will take that into account.

That's a shame but I totally don't blame you. AD is one place you can be certain.

I do feel bad for the person who buys that next

I've noticed WF seem to be putting a lot of 'catalogue' images on their site lately. Which is not helpful. Still you can return...

Have been looking at WF and noticed a wbp2110 (watch I purchased at ad) listed for $2,470 and I was able to walk into the ad and pick up a brand new one at a 20% discount which came out to less than that.

Yes, sometimes this is the case. What you have to remember is that WF offer a service, I believe a lot of their business is London people swapping watches every few months so some items they will sell high if they think they will have a 'swap' customer for it.

Hi,
On the second-hand market, I saw a Heuer 01 CAR2A8A and bracelet BF0707, from around 2017 (watch previously bought from a private individual with box and warranty card, but no invoice or store name).
I have some questions to you before going to meet the seller:

The winding crown also looks strange to meor is it the angle of the photo?
If anyone had a Heuer 01, could you give me the weight with the bracelet (2-3 links less on the one offered).

On the other hand, when I search for the warranty by entering the serial number indicated by the seller on the TH site, I get the warranty code, the reference, but no description or photo of the watch underneath (I blurred the last two numbers to publish the result).

What do you think?
Thanks

I see what you mean about the crown, I guess you should ask the seller about that huh. In other photos of this watch, the crown looks like this

I think it's the angle of the photo - but it's worth noting these crowns, I know someone who had a Heuer 01 and he fiddled with the crown all the time. The rubber wears away and becomes conical if you do that. But it doesn't appear that is the case here.

it’s on the presale list
Did you ever get any more information from Watchfinder about authenticity? I gotta be honest with you, seeing this being instantly listed again is totally crushing the faith I used to have in Watchfinder as a trusted dealer.

Imagine what the future holds, when fakes are as good as the genuine product (we are very close to it today). Buying used will be a lottery, all you can do is hope you aint getting a counterfit product.

I stated on the phone and email every concern that was talked about here with the watch pins and tube, lume pip, etc… and they told me I could send the watch back. At the end of the day my largest concern was getting a refund.

I understand that for sure. I just have a weird personality and brain obsessing over fake TAG Heuer Aquaracers sold by criminals all over the internet

Do we have unequivocal proof (i.e. verification from Tag Heuer) that Aquaracers with these features (bracelet pins and tube) are definitely fake? If not, it's basically Watchfinder vs Jamesbizs isn't it?

Well, that plus the lume pip, one of the easiest tells of fake WAY Aquaracers. But yes of course we dont have proof for this particular one and I am sure the next person who buys it will enjoy it no matter if it is genuine or not.

Well that person would be paying a hefty premium

Glad you picked up a brand new 40mm from AD in the end, at least you can sleep comfortably, knowing you have a sexy genuine TAG Heuer Aquaracer
