Thklinge
路Like I said, it's not searchable because it wouldn't have been put into the system unless it was bought from a dealer and had warranty activated. That's the only thing searchable means.

The warranty card is filled out, handwritten. So it should be in there unless the handwritten thingy is fake as well.
I mean, it's just a paper card. I have literally over a thousand of them, blank, ready to be filled out however I want, if I want. I can sell any of my tags and just fill out whatever I want on them. But unless the watch is bought from an AD and has the serial number registered with tag, then you will not find anything on the system by searching the serial number. And we are also talking almost 8 years ago, which I didn't pay attention to earlier. That is a weirdly good condition 8 year old watch. Aside from that, I'm not really seeing any issues. But not really the clearest pics.

I think you're getting them watches mixed up. Thklinge's watch is a recent Carrera day-date not the Aquaracer from 2016.
Also, you have over a thousand blank TAG Heuer warranty cards? What de fokk dude 馃檮
My watch is a 2022 Carrera Day Date, and since the warranty card IS filled out at the date of purchase it should have been registered at Tag, and be searchable. Since it isn't I think it's suspect.
That doesn't mean it was bought at a dealer. I have no idea why it was filled out. I don't have any of these modern QR code warranty cards. But like I said, I have plenty of the others, and can fill them out however I want. So ask the guy you bought it from to tell you who he bought it from. Because you bought a watch that clearly was supposed to come with a warranty, which means the seller has to help you get that warranty honored. So find the dealer and ask him about the watch you bought from this guy.
But like I said, there are ZERO issues I can see with your watch, and I've NEVER seen a fake that has the proper bracelet. And I've handled probably 100 of these bracelets, and have seen tons of the fakes. Night and day once you get to the actual structure of them.
But speaking of bracelets. Have you taken links off yet?
oh jesus, so they aren't even using screw on the automatic movement holders???

Ha, you ain't seen my watches. Some of us actually look after them, not bashing them into things and running them under taps like someone I could mention. 馃
I have never seen such a watch before, and I do not know how this movement is installed, but I previously read an article describing these models with black movements
I've emailed the seller in Japan, we'll se what they say. Yeah, I've taken a few off to fit my wrists. How come?
I mean exactly this caliber, but I read on the forum that these calibers were never put into mass production
And that's yet another check mark for this watch. Japanese sellers are very good, and it's VERY rare for them to have fakes. And when they do, it's usually one offs. like, they have 1000 watches for sale, and one of them slipped through. But Japanese seller, on top of everything else you've shown us? At this point, if you're not comfortable, you have to send it to tag heuer. we've given you a lot of info, and if that's not enough, you need to send it in, as nothing else will make you feel 100% certain. Nothing tag can say over the phone or email will help either.
Also, show us pics of the link pin and tube you removed please.
Yeah, I'm starting to belive you're right.
Got a replay from TAG Heuer customer service today:
"After consulting our database, I can confirm that your watch's serial number exists, corresponds to your beautiful Carrera and has been originally sold in Japan.
As far as the warranty is concerned, I cannot find any information unfortunately because it has probably never been activated.
If you want to have your watch officially authenticated, it will need to be thoroughly examined, inside and out, by our TAG Heuer expert watchmakers."
So that's the end of it, It's the real deal. With emphasis on deal as it was unworn and about 50% of MSRP...
It's just an older version of that watch. Nothing wrong with it. Don't worry.
