Does anyone know what AUTAVIA looks like inside? And do Asians make fakes for this movement (high-quality fakes)?
lol sorry, that watch IS the real one. I don't know if the renata battery was put in after the fact. I only use reneta batteries for any replacements. I don't normally do tag heuer battery replacements, nor do I generally handle brand new tag heuers. I deal with older ones 98% of the time. I'll have to look into it. The black movement holder has screws. The white one is just loose I have real ones with the white holder too. I honestly don't even know anymore lol. But yes, the one on the right is authentic and has a warranty with tag. I bought it thinking it was fake, and had some issues come up and then wasn't able to return it. Gotta sell that damn thing already.
Nothing to worry about, the isograph calibre 5 was a total technical failure for TAG Heuer, they recalled all sold watches. The Autavia three hander models that ended up on the market have the standard cosc calibre 5, no isograph.
Did they get them all back? I thought someone here had one that they didn't want to send back cos they knew it would end up being switched
Was it Snowy? Was he debating returning it for a credit - I don't think he wanted the Calibre 5
aw man. Did that one guy selling the ebay aqua get banned? I was really hoping to see what happened.
Post was removed from Marketplace when it became clear that the watch was fake
Yep. Tho again, I think fake ones have the gold movement too. What I want to know, is if any real ones have the Swiss Parts movement. Maybe some formula 1? Better not be any Aquaracers.
Hmm - interesting point. I was thinking that in order for a watch to be "legally" labelled as Swiss Made, the movement would have to be assembled in Switzerland? I thought Swiss Parts movements contain Swiss components, but are assembled in other countries (e.g. Far East)?
Edit: here is an article I found with regards to Swiss Made:
https://www.snglrtywatch.com/all/watch-collecting/what-makes-a-swiss-watch-swiss-made/
The article states that the Swiss Made regulation requires the movement to be assembled in Switzerland, and this requirement remained in place when the regulation changed in 2017 which required at least 60% of the value of the watch to have been created in Switzerland.
Looking for additional assurance , purchased with Ebay Authenticated Guarantee. thank you!
Wish we could help, but none of us have experience with the new models. Do you happen to have the link pin/tubes accessible?
yes I did remove a link , There was 2 pieces that came out when removing the link, a tube and pin
