Jimmy, pray tell how this lume pip is different to the fake ones? I don't see no metal ring here either but is clearly genuine as it was taken at a TAG Heuer presentation.
The metal bezel inserts don't use a metal ring around the pip. The ceramic and the metal bezels do tho. These are a bit harder to spot/

hi,I have been offered a tag CAF2010 chrono,all appears to check out ok but when removing back cover the rotor cover does not have tags emblem on which I'm sure its supposed to?Would this be a cheap repair or a fake?seller was left/given watch several years ago by his dad and is unsure himself.Any thoughts greatly appreciated, cheers H.

We gonna need to see some photos to have even the slightest chance to determine if it might be fake. Wrong rotor sounds like a red flag but I suppose a watchmaker for some reason at some point could have replaced it with a generic one, or heck even replaced the movement considering it is a standard 7750 movement in these

First thing to note is that CAF2010 should have a black dial. And this just looks off to me....

Shouldn't a CAF2010 have a black dial? And what is up with that weird sub dial at 9? Looking again, all sub dials are wrong.

@hothow just google TAG Heuer CAF2010 and you will get plenty of photos of what a genuine one should look like.

Yes, good enough at first glance... although the first thing that caught my eye weirdly was that the font on the bezel was too bold.
