@Darkarmy sorry this one appears fake also. More photos needed but what already stands out are the line markers on the bezel. On the original these batons are positioned slightly closer to the crystal. On most fakes they’re in the dead center of the bezel, as in the case if both watches you suggested. On the first the lume pip is off but most easy to spot is the bad caseback. The TAG logo is very bad, way too thin. The dive helmet is wrong also. A good photo of the caseback of the second watch will most probably reveal the same issues.

So I had a look at C24. 14 green ARs listed.
Of these I believe 5 are genuine. However 3 of these 5 are photos of the same watch, listed in Japan, Denmark and the US, from different sellers. These are the exact same photos each time 🤨

So 12 unique ARs, of which 3 genuine, of which 1 dubious. A US private seller has a real one for sale for the equivalent of 2200 euro, which is the lowest of all offers.

Sorry to be a pain guys, what about this one? Close up images and a youtube video about this watch for sale - Though he doesn't have any original receipts, says he's a watch broker.

The video:

This is the exact watch for sale. He tests the sapphire glass, the lume and checks the movement type etc.

I'm really after one of these green aquaracers but there's so many duds!

Thank you all once again,

Elite Swiss Watches, oh yes.... this guy does loads of 'Authenticity Check' videos, he also sells horse racing betting systems.... does that sound like the sort of person to buy a luxury watch from?

This is a real one.

Jimmy, pray tell how this lume pip is different to the fake ones? I don't see no metal ring here either but is clearly genuine as it was taken at a TAG Heuer presentation.

Am I correct that this is a fake? The watch It is supposed to be a 1500 professional. 625.213G-2.

The hole in the dial under the bezel at 12 seems to be a giveaway but also the white date background. Haven't seen that on any 1500. The hands also seem incongruous with the rest of the dial. Case back seems correct - it is more frequently used on the 929 from my research where the last t in waterresistant is above the last s in swiss. But I found one 925 that had the back case that way. On the others the 200m is above swiss. Finally, in some I've seen what I presume to be a movement number perpendicular and to the right of the Tag emblem.

Thanks for any help!

I doubt it's fake, but it could be a franken watch, repaired using whatever was available.

Yes, but the lume pip looks the same to me....
I believe the difference has been highlighted with detailed photos in this thread before. The original is flatter, doesn’t protrude as much and sits nicely within the cavity, with a slight space around it, casting a very narrow shadow. In the repros the cavity is completely filled and the pip is rounder, more protruding. Often photos of watches for sale are not good enough to see the difference properly.

The markers are easier to tell in any case.
Details of TAG Heuer photo:

Less space between marker and inner edge than outer edge of bezel.

Now a detail of a typical fake on C24:

Marker in center of bezel.

I was looking at that and yes the lume pip looks fake. But from that angle it is difficult to tell, I suppose you didn't take a photo more from the front of it? Probably easier to tell looking straight at the lume pip

This discussion about the green Aquaracer is very informative. Thankful that I got mine from a TAG Heuer boutique. I’ve learned something new today about spotting fakes (bezel marker location). Great stuff, @Yago and others.

Not my photo, but as you can see it is being held over a TAG Heuer display cabinet and I believe it was taken at one of the watch shows... clearly genuine. Maybe the angle would show it better. I thought the lume pip had it's own metal ring no? I'm sure that's been apparent on some photos

All this info is fantastic, thank you very much.

Especially the explanations of the lume pip and the bezel markers, now that you've pointed it out and annotated it with images, it's easy to spot.

So for that thank you very much all

I am sorely tempted to buy the newest green Tag AR for £3500 but I'm really not a fan of the brushed titanium strap. Like like the shiny stainless steel of the previous model!

Maybe you shall be patient and await the green dial 40mm Aquaracer 200 set for release in 2023? Then you can buy new from ad and feel secure to get a genuine product

The only thing putting me off the current green AR is the size and 40mm would be ideal😀

Yes that's a good point. When do they come out and are there any pictures? 😀
