Grainy photos. I don't like the look of it one bit, and would certainly stay clear unless someone like @jamesbizs gives it the all clear.
@jamesbizs , That black AR in your pic is also a replica ...right ?
yeah, that's a better way of wording it. I've never actually had experience with something like that tho.
Isnt it very common that grey market dealers get their inventory through AD's and therefore being able to offer manufacturer guarantee? Sure the AD is not getting the full 50-60% margin on the purchase but they still get a sale and make a profit from it.
That appears to be a dealer tho? Or sells watches FOR dealers. Because, after all, the warranty starts when you bought the watch. THESE watches have warranties that start when you bought the watch from THIS company. If a dealer sold a watch to a third party vendor and included a warranty, that warranty would apply as soon as that watch left the dealer, but these watches come with the full warranty from the day YOU buy it. Unless these guys are some how rubber stamping the dates later on, but I can't really see how any of this would work in these scenarios.
I mean, unless things have just COMPLETELY changes since I was in the biz. But I can't imagine things getting MORE lax, rather than less. Hell, many swiss part manufacturers aren't even selling to the public anymore. Which sucks for people like me and my dad. So I can't imagine how any of the rules would allow for such a scenario. I doubt tag heuer would even allow this to happen either. Dealers are only allowed to sell as themselves. They can't sell through a third party middle man, because that third party middle man is not beholden to the rules that the manufacturers set forth of how their products can be sold. Just as many of these companies have teams of lawyers that go after ebay sellers. They are VERY strict with such stuff.

It's not about whether it's rubbish or not. The fake and the real ones have completely different manufacturing methods. Real is an actual insert, while fake is always molded into the bezel. Or poured in. Or whatever it is they do. But real ALWAYS is an insert.
Iconic buy (or bought) their watches from European ADs, my Heuer 01 came from them from an Italian AD. So I got it for 20% off list. I bought it only a few months after it was released, no way is it fake. I think they are trustworthy, having visited their (private) store.
