Not talking about you. I'm talking about the people who don't really have any knowledge about the watch in question, but can't resist adding their opinion anyway. They may say it's fake based on something they've seen in the photo, such as poor engraving, but is really just a photographic artifact. Or say that something isn't lined up properly when it's just the angle the photo was taken at.
Remember, the fake threads are the quickest way to add to your post count 😀
Hence why some jump in immediately with no educated answer.
Disclaimer: I am not referring to anyone here.

Maybe someone else will pick something up, but to me it looks okay.

I've come to the realisation (probably a bit late) that this thread has become "Here, look at this fake!", rather than "Is my watch any good".

Always interesting how forum threads evolve over time. 😀

No, not really - the thread's intention is to serve as a place for people such as yourself to ask questions of those of us with nothing better to do than look at watches all day. It's mostly me who posts fakes from eBay here, but it is intended to be educational - looking at fakes helps you spot things easier. Like for example, a dead giveaway for a fake S/EL is that the bracelet links are moulded as one piece. Even if the dial looks good, if the bracelet is not made up of separate pieces then you know something is up. Plus there is some entertainment value in it, and also I add these peoples names to this 'blacklist' of eBay sellers.

Everyone on that list had listed a fake TAG Heuer on eBay.

I have stopped commenting at “LC / legit check” posts 😵‍💫 There are so many fakes anyway, more than the genuine ones that were actually produced. It’s really hard to give a good judgment on a few pictures TBH. I just buy at AD and TH Boutiques to be sure and have some peace of mind. I’m actually envious of sir @Aquagraph ’s Bicester Village TH Sale Boutique 😉 Lots of goodies for an unbeatable price 😁

I think it's probably OK. Would I pay £598 for it? No. Looks to have had a bit of a hard life. Caseback has definitely been opened, probably by someone who didn't know what they were doing.

Well would you rather have that people guess and tell you its real?? You have to understand that Aquaracers are the most common Tag watches to be produced by fakers so for someone to confirm to you that it is genuine would require high resolution macro shots in good light to enable for details to be seen. A "good" fake is often exposed in the tiny details.

In your first post you wrote that "it screams fake" so trust your instinct on that then?
