Thanks for the reply and yes please let us know what the seller says.
Is it from Ebay or other online seller ??
Good luck anyway

I sent the watch into Tag Service centre and they have authenticated the watch and will provide certificate confirming genuine.

now that is a surprise given the responses here.....

Good news- pleased to hear it. I think it just goes to show how hard it is to pick these latest replicas.

Good news for you, well done.
It must be just an error that the pip appears to be deeper in the bezel almost as if someone as taken a centre punch and tapped the pip further in.
I wonder what the actual pip looks like ??
I like those White Aquaracers too, especially when the lume is lit up and it looks blue

Yes I’m almost still skeptical if it as I looked at another instore at a retailer and I was adamant the pip appeared to be different than the watch I received....

but what else can I do? I’m sure Tag would be able to determine a fake.

Did we not have another case where Tag confirmed a fake to be genuine? Was an older model though I believe. Was it when that guy who got obsessed with taking down criminal Ebay sellers kept buying fakes to prove that they were fake? Anyone remember?

It was a red dial 1000, the guy sent me the verification certificate from TAG as well... but I think it was a guy called James who was buying fakes to take apart and expose.

Hey guys. Thanks for the add.

Just wanted your opinions on this. Bought on Chrono24. Money still in escrow but had my doubts when I searched the serial on tag warranty site and it came back as a different watch.
It came with box, manual, warranty card stamped from a jewellers in Spain, a plastic warranty card whose number is not recognised on Tag warranty site at all.
Take a look at the end link number.... It's upside down....

This rarely happens, but sometimes it does, and is one of the easiest tells for THIS model.

lol seeing as my name got brought up, I supposed I might as well chime in. Yes, I did a bunch of buying of fakes, to take them apart and learn all the tell tale signs and expose the counterfeiters. Took down 150 accounts by now. The guys are still selling on ebay, but much slower.

The 1000 red dail was sent into Tag, and tag, claimed it was real. It's not real, but I doubt they are able to tell anymore. The newer watches they have much better ways of telling. 40 year old watches tho? I doubt they even tried very hard. And manufacturing back then was like the wild west.

Mind taking a different picture of the dot? Always a chance the bezel was swapped out. It's really hard to see from the pics tho. Need different angle. Also, got any pics of the pin and tube from the bracelet?

haha you are not the first, and would not be the last, I am a bit disappointed when we pay good money below retail price but turns out it might be a very good rep

Little notches on the bottom right of the helmet are missing, is this normal?

Here is a photo of pin and tube from the bracelet.

Will take better photo of lume dot when I get it back from the service centre.

I have no idea who you sent your watch to, but they did you a big disservice, because it is a blatant fake. I'm sorry. It's from the same manufacturer that I've been chasing for the past year.

So what do I do?

I can’t go after the seller if the Tag service centre are stating the watch is genuine....

Wouldn’t the serial number of the watch be able to be traced somehow?
