I bought a way211c in WatchMaxx, when I got the watch I'll put them side by side for you to compare them ... and so draw conclusions about how good the replicas are ....

Does this mean you still have the fake AR? Are you able to return it or get your money back?

Wonder if big percentage of those people who are complaining about Tag Heuer on the internet actually got the fake one...

That would be insane if true but unlikely I would guess

It might actually tarnish the reputation in a big way @Jim Dollares . First of all you have comments about low quality cases, flimsy casebacks and bracelets etc. Stuff I haven't experienced with my THs, friend's watches or watches I've handled at ADs. (Unlike with a brand new seamaster and railmaster I had a chance to play around with at a boutique a while back. Plasticy would be a way to describe them.)

Secondly these fakes appear to be flooding the second hand/grey market, selling well below retail. It's no secret you can buy a BNIB standard line TH for roughly 30% off retail. Used watch prices seem to be at an all time low. You'll have trouble trying to sell a used calibre 5 Carrera for €1000. A barely used full set standard Autavia was listed for 2850 euro on Chronocentric 10 days ago. It's still for sale. And you probably wouldn't have to pay more than 3000 to get your hands on a full set JH Autavia.

I wonder if brands like Tudor and Omega have the same issue with these fakes. I do know '90s Speedmasters are now selling for roughly the same price as new.

It's a bizarre watch to chose to fake when you think about it, assuming it ever actually worked in the first place...

Hi, Sorry if I have stuffed this up. First time posting. I am looking at buying the watch in pics (Not at the ticket price that is original price). Can anyone tell me if it is authentic? Will be my first Tag purchase. Thanks in advance!!!

Would these be fake? Why would anyone go out of their way to fake a $500 watch?

Because to a great many people $500 is one heck of a lot of money so there is a market and because the fakers want to make money by manufacturing them for $5 and selling them for $50

I've noticed these. The limitless supply of blue and red divers in perfect looking condition seems suspicious to me too. And they seem to reuse the same photos.
