They might have some machine. But only once have I had a hard time removing the back from a watch. It's always all about having the right tools for the job. Removing links is the hard thing in my opinion...

Yeah, probably. It has this kind of back on it... I haven't tried to remove it since I got it back, there was already damage to the leverage points from a round tool.

Hello everyone,

Just created an account here as it seems there is a bunch of experts here 馃榾

I have just got gifted this Aquaracer Professional 300 bought new on Chrono24. Of course, the price was more attractive than an AD.

Some colleagues who know a little bit about watches gave me a hint because of the origin (Internet + seller in Italy).

When I received the watch, everything seemed ok, the box and the original papers were there, the warranty card too.

But when I check on the Tag Heuer website, it shows the right serial number and the number written on the warranty card, but with the reference of the same watch with rubber strap.

Is there something strange according to you or just a little trick of the seller to deliver me the watch with the ordered strap?

Thanks a lot for your feedback 馃榾

huh, interesting. I feel like this might be the first time we've had a newer model show up on here. I don't think we know much about them to be honest. Everything SEEMS good to me. Have you sized the bracelet yet?

Hi all, I recently purchased a tag heuer formula 1 day date WAZ1120.BB0879 from ebay. Before I take it to a authorised dealership please could some one tell me if this is genuine? Also where the serial number is stamped is that the correct place for it to be? Serial number is BRM4499

Dealer won't be able to tell. You need to send it to TAG Heuer direct if you are concerned. Not to be disrespectful to dealers, but most of them know less than me and I wouldn't be able to tell you either.

Yes that one.
I strongly belive that your watch is a replica.
All fakes i have seen do not do the label right.
Your label is not spaced like the original.

Another way might be to open the watch and see the movement. Never tried on a three hand before but in the chronograph ones you see it very clear when looking at the movement.
If you want we can try.

also, the bracelet protective tape appears to be the wrong type, but the pics aren't that great. Real tag heuers use two strips of tape along the length, sometimes overlapping on the sides, and sometimes loose. Fakes use one wide section and wrap the whole thing. I know it's a silly thing to use as a fake/real market, but so far this has been the case 100% of the time. Just takes too much time for them to do it the right way and they don't think anyone notices, let alone cares if they do. It's just tape, who the hell cares about tape....

Hello, thanks for your answer!

I鈥檝e just bought something to size the bracelet and it measures 21mm as it should, and the case between 42.5-43mm depending on how I make the measure, so I guess this is the margin error.

I asked the seller about the bracelet and he confirmed that he swapped it for a steel bracelet. Do you guys think this is a problem or it happens regularly?

Something that just catch my attention today is that the model reference engraved on the case is 芦 WBP201A-0 禄 and I鈥檝e watched a lot of videos and never seen the -0 end, only 芦 WBP201A 禄. Is it suspicious to you? I don鈥檛 know that much about Tag Heuer鈥檚 watches so maybe it is common?

The explanation of the seller is very approximative I think: 芦 the 0 indicates the bracelet or strap which is not defined in the case as it is variable 禄.

Thank you again for your help 馃榾

I did not know that. I though I could just casually walk into the mall to a TH store or fancy jewelry place and they would be able to tell me right away lol.

The "-0" has nothing to do with the bracelet.

It is about modification on the watch (where Tag Heuer does not communicate at all) in order to improve it.

After "-0" it goes to "-1" then "-2" etc. I have already had myself Carrera in "-5" on the reference CAR2A10.

On this new Aquaracer (which I also have), I do not have mine the "-0", yours is perhaps more recent than mine.

Oh, they'd be able to tell you right away. They'd just probably be wrong. You might get lucky and just happen to run into someone that actually knows, but the chances of that are slim. They are just salesmen.

5??? they go up to 5? Wow. I wish we had a tag heuer insider to tell us what's going on. Bracelets have the same issue...
