Hello all, new to the forum. Buying a Tag watch and before going to an AD I browsed ebay out of curiosity and found the following. Watch is heavily discounted so is most likely too good to be true. What are your thoughts on the following, 2 available one of which has 1.5 years left on Tag warrenty.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TAG-Heue...2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0

Any feedback would be great.

Thank you

Picture '1 of 8' seems of a genuine watch, but '1 of 9', '3 of 9', '4 of 9', and '6 of 9' are from a different watch which is fake…

Just look at the distance between '4' and markers in the lower subdial, and between '30' and markers in the right subdial:

This is a picture from the TH website, where you can see the proper distance between numbers and markers. The fake watch has the markers too thick and too long

And this is another genuine CaZ1011 for sale at Chrono24, where you can see the proper subdials vs the fake watch:

If you look at the caseback, you will also find some differences (for instance the '200' typo, or the distance around the TH logo): the genuine Chrono24 vs the fake watch:

So I’m sorry but the watch you found at ebay is fake

Thank you for the quick and detailed reply. To my untrained eye I would never have spotted that. Just going to stick to an authorised dealer or perhaps have a browse on Chrono24 as they seem to have good reviews.

BTW you guys are providing a brilliant service here keep up the good work.

easy way to tell on the ceramics, is the inside of the bracelet, the ceramic part should be polished. The fakes are brushed.

James, did you start a youtube channel?

No idea who this guy is or where he works but not very convincing if this is how preowned dealers verify authenticity

The chrono is running... the dial looks good...the crystal is hard... the caseback should be sharp and deep but I cant really feel it cause of the plastic... it has a Ronda movement.. = genuine!

As if a "good" fake cant have Ronda movement, well made dial, caseback and a proper sapphire crystal?

Do you think this is similar to how Ebay authenticity program works? 😁

This is the version of the Ronda5040d with less jewels assembled in asia with swiss parts. A so caled swiss parts movement, not a swiss made movement. All TAG's have the gold swiss made movement. (also checked inside my CAZ1015:BA0884 "Senna" Gold movement there......
My bet is that that watch is fake.

Hello everyone. I have I believe exhausted all possible sources in my quest to find out if the Tag Heuer watch I recently purchased is real or not. So I would like to kindly ask experts on this forum to help put it to rest...
As you can see the watch in question is Link Stainless steel and 18K gold WT 1150.
I have included pictures what I would believe could determine if it is real or fake.
As far as functions...it has a screw down crown and rachetting ring. The quick adjustment of date works only in correct position of hands. The watch weights 170 gr or so. In case the pictures are not clear there is number 955.112 inside, a logo with "eta" inside, SWISS V8 and also seven 7 seven jewels written on the movement. Back cover and band has numbers and letters of style and serial number of the watch. It had Renata Swiss battery (dead) before I changed it. I know it doesn't mean a thing, as you can buy them online for few bucks....
Thank you all for your inputs. I couldn't find the date this watch was introduced...
For those who would like to know...I paid $200 (auction). I figured it was worth the risk... round box and papers ( no warranty card) were included. Radek

This watch was purchased in duty free shop on a cruise in 2007 before I purchased it in auction.
It looks real, but there is a lot of fakes that looks real to someone unaware of what to look for...
It has screw down crown, the end of battery indicator that works correctly (just changed the battery). Quick date adjustment works only in correct hands position...
F06111, three 3 jewels and "eta" logo with SWISS V 8 on inside movement.
Do you think I waisted $250?
Thank you all for your inputs.

Hi Radek, you have to create your post in the thread, just go to the bottom of the page in the thread you want to put it in.
