True, but everyone starts thinking they are going to buy one watch, just like PhillipDB... and we all know how it goes.
Just reading this thread is making me think about getting a Carrera again. Must resist, must resist the urge... 😗

Wow, cant believe I missed all these reponses on a thread I started.

Thanks to you guys I got a CV2111 (will keep this forever I think), and then a month or two later a CV2110 as I just love the size and look. Recently decided though that I will pass the CV2110 on and put it towards the savings for an Autavia. Was tempted to go for the trifecta with the CV2113 but I think I will go for variety in the end.

Especially like your suggestion and the Incabloc @Gambba ! Something special like that would be cool.

Also yes, everyone should know what a mince and cheese pie is. I think @heuer1860 found the best pic that represents what it looks and tastes like.

+1 on early Carrera re-editions. The manual wind might put some people off, but it's also kind of fun winding your watch daily.

If going for an automatic, I like the 40th Anniversary Carrera Jack Heuer LE, ref. CV2117.

If you want a real all-rounder watch, from barn to boardroom then +2 for the first handwound Carrera re-editions (any of them) from the late '90s / early 2000s.
Very good bang for the buck and timeless style. Maybe a little small for today's standards, but that watch has got proportions that will never go out of fashion - whereas today's frying pans may be a moment's fad in a couple of years.

If you prefer something sportier and rugged, with which you can do all types of outdoors activities too without having to worry about your watch, then the early 2000's Aquagraph automatic chrono - that's frankly the *ONLY* TAG Heuer chrono I've ever been tempted to buy.
Cheers,
Fabrizio

Very nice watch. I have thought about this one too on several occasions. Price is great, but the fact it is a 3-hand Carrera puts me off slightly.
There was a 3-hand Carrera back in the day, before even the TAG takeover. For me, that makes a modern 3-handed more of a Carrera than anything with an external bezel, that literally never happened to a vintage Carrera.

That’s mine in black, but it was also available in silver and champagne.

I like the automatic re-editions too. Same 39mm size as a second gen Carrera but in the more aesthetically pleasing facsimile of the first gen case.

Very cool, what is the reference of that one?

Thanks. That’s a 365.253N. They were released alongside the original Carrera Twin ana-digi Chronographs, which I do prefer to the 3-hand watches.

That’s the full set of those - 371.253 N and G, and 371.255 CH.

Very nice Carrera collection sir! I agree with the size of the 39mm and the charisma-appeal of the 1st gen Carrera 😎 I’ve also been reading your articles on TAG Heuer / Heuer. Appreciate all your inputs and making this such a wonderful TAG Heuer community 👍👍👍

The collection grows, I have now added to my re-edition collection with the CV2113 today. It has been a surprised purchase as its in by far the best condition of them all with seriously minimal use. Authentic warranty card with matching serial from Tag in New York and one owner since.
The crown is not smooth at all to move to have scheduled in a service which did wonders for my others.

Unfortunately my approach of 'forgiveness rather than permission' has annoyed the other half so might have to choose one to go..

Also got a new rally strap for the CV2111 as you can see. Not a bad price from TAG but that's because its not the croc leather 😀

Nice set of 3! My first ever luxury watch was the CV2113. I love the daytona rings on the subdials, even though this wasn't really a thing on the 60s Carreras.
