Just reading this thread is making me think about getting a Carrera again. Must resist, must resist the urge... 😗
I need more information on these ‘mince and cheese pies’ sounds like they may be just the thing for my “diet”!
This is all the information you need.
Mince , cheese, pastry ......happy days.
Wow, cant believe I missed all these reponses on a thread I started.
Thanks to you guys I got a CV2111 (will keep this forever I think), and then a month or two later a CV2110 as I just love the size and look. Recently decided though that I will pass the CV2110 on and put it towards the savings for an Autavia. Was tempted to go for the trifecta with the CV2113 but I think I will go for variety in the end.
Especially like your suggestion and the Incabloc @Gambba ! Something special like that would be cool.
+1 on early Carrera re-editions. The manual wind might put some people off, but it's also kind of fun winding your watch daily.
If going for an automatic, I like the 40th Anniversary Carrera Jack Heuer LE, ref. CV2117.
Very nice watch. I have thought about this one too on several occasions. Price is great, but the fact it is a 3-hand Carrera puts me off slightly.
There was a 3-hand Carrera back in the day, before even the TAG takeover. For me, that makes a modern 3-handed more of a Carrera than anything with an external bezel, that literally never happened to a vintage Carrera.
That’s mine in black, but it was also available in silver and champagne.
Very cool, what is the reference of that one?
I like the automatic re-editions too. Same 39mm size as a second gen Carrera but in the more aesthetically pleasing facsimile of the first gen case.
The collection grows, I have now added to my re-edition collection with the CV2113 today. It has been a surprised purchase as its in by far the best condition of them all with seriously minimal use. Authentic warranty card with matching serial from Tag in New York and one owner since.
The crown is not smooth at all to move to have scheduled in a service which did wonders for my others.
Unfortunately my approach of 'forgiveness rather than permission' has annoyed the other half so might have to choose one to go..
