Next weekend would do. Would make the race less dangerous.

In the meantime the "Endurance Committee" (whoever this is)
has taken some decisions. As far as the Ford GT is concerned,
its weight must be higher (+ 5 kg). Also the boost ratio has to be "adjusted". For the race they will have a lower boost ratio.
Hope there will be enough "Ecoboost".

One of the Audi's rolled back into the garage with mechanical problems from the race lead... Now the #1 Porsche in the lead with Mark's crew

So much for Mark's #1 Porsche being in the lead :(

This is probably in response to competitors claiming ford are cheating - the eligibility scruitineers will have checked the GT matches the spec on its FIA logbook and found discrepancies. 5kg is probably an accident not intentional cheating.

Here's a tag GT40 on the scales a few months back:

    Congratulations! Ford really did it.
    Still tears for Toyota.

    Congratulations to Porsche & Ford!

Heartbreaking for Toyota. Poor guys, the agony was palpable.

Considering how far back they left the Porsches (in the dry), the Corvettes and Aston Martins, I think there definitely was some sandbagging. While I'm happy for Ford winning on their anniversary, I can't help but be underwhelmed by this year's race as they basically walked away with it.

Damn, that is the prettiest rear end I've ever seen on a car...

The front remembers me of the 919, which is not a disadvantage. For the "rest", I have never expected the 70's to return in such a brillant way. A crime if they would not build it.

In the meantime I had some minutes to think about the car. I can't believe that it was not wanted and simply came out of the printer. But what could they do with this car? In LMP1 they need a finn at the back of the car. This would make such a beauty look ridiculous. So they would need other competitors. Is there something in the GT-class?

Well, do I see flaps at the end? Reminds of the "old" 908's and the 917's?
