Al Pacino wearing a TAG Heuer 1000 professional. I believe it's the all black ref 980.026.

@niccoloy is on a 1000 diver watch spotting roll. This time with Stephen Stills, of Crosby, Stills & Nash, wearing a Heuer 1000 (ref 980.029) in 1983.

My wife just watched the new Anne Hathaway movie 'The Idea of You' and mentioned that a TAG Heuer Carrera has a very special role in the film. I wasn't planning to watch but guess I will now. So no spoilers please.

I also read that this was not product placement. The movie is based on a book, which specifically describes the watch as being a TAG Heuer Carrera.

Youtuber Brandon Herrera puts the Connected E4 through its paces. Lots of recoil action.

Bit of an odd one - from the 1988 Gunbuster OVA. Obviously a fictional watch, but was just interesting to see the Heuer logo.

I have watched the movie now and enjoyed it. The Carrera is a big part of the story.

These articles cover why and how the watch was selected in more detail. There are some mini spoilers, but nothing major is given away about the movie.

How the Watch in 'The Idea of You' Became the Movie’s “Third Character” | GQ

I found this excerpt to be quite interesting:
--
Neasi hand-selected the TAG after rejecting a different watch brand that was initially supposed to have star billing—but wasn’t quite up to her standards. These original pieces were “not attractive, not cool, old man watches,” Neasi said. “I’m not placing them on a British rock star and Anne Hathaway, who’s supposed to be cool.” Instead, she got in touch with TAG, which scrambled to get the watch to set. “My prop guy had it in an hour from a store in Atlanta.” Neasi chose the watch, she said, because it was “sleek and cool—there's not a lot going on on the watch. Because he's British, he would have a classy watch but a cool watch.”

Neasi also needed a watch able to handle a multifaceted role. “I knew that Anne was going to end up with it as well, so I was conscious that she's an arty Silverlake mom gallery owner,” Neasi said. “It had to be a watch that would fit both [lifestyles].

Cool story, but I’m struggling to see which model it really is?
39mm silver dial = WBN2111.BA0639 ?

Anne is over 40 years old and the guy looks like he just turned 18 and is taking his mom to the prom 😁

Pretty close to the actual movie plot.
Anne's character is a 40 year old mother of a teen daughter, who ends up in a world wind romance with the 24 year old lead singer of a rock Boy Band.

Alexandra is also at Monaco. Not a fan of her dress choice for this occasion though.

Max appears to be wearing an all black version of the Monaco Split Seconds Rattrapante.
