Would think every watch on wrist display was a freebie for publicity, saw a lot of pictures on another forum and every watch was well positioned for the picture, strangely I believe Rolex were part sponsors of the event yet none were pictured.
Cynical, me?
I don't think Rolex was involved in that movie. Tomorrow Never Dies was the second movie of the Bond x Omega partnership, the first being Goldeneye. The last movie to feature the Rolex Submariner was License to Kill, worn by Timothy Dalton.

I was ready to joke that I can’t believe he’s not wearing socks…then she says she doesn’t wear socks any more! 😀

EDIT: Then he turns up without socks again.

Can you guess that I am adding these in real time!?!

I saw this yesterday and found her terribly annoying. Correcting him how to pronounce Heuer and Carrera, when neither are French words. 🤦

I meant Rolex were sponsors of the Oscars?

According to the '84 Catalogue, Robert Wagner and Stephanie Powers (TV's Hart to Hart) wore Heuer. Pictured bottom right. But I've been searching for a watch pic and haven't found one yet.

Closest match is this pic of Wagner wearing a black pvd watch. But it looks more like a Porsche Design.

Since Heuer featured the TV couple in their catalogue, I'm guessing they might've supplied watches to the show, which ran from 1979-84.

Can't be 100% sure, but in this pic they might be wearing his and hers gold Heuer Divers from the early 80s.

The shape of the logo looks Heuer-ish.

Getting a little warmer with this pic. Unless I'm mistaken, Robert Wagner appears to be wearing a '70s Heuer Carrera Chronograph.

Couldn't get a picture, but UKs TV host Dermot O'Leary is rocking the WoS Carrera Panda on This Morning today.

IMHO the best looking Carrera around and I do miss mine.

Just to note my missus called out for me to come see, whilst I'm trying to work!

Dermot loves his Carreras. I have seen him wearing the JH80 and a Telemeter as well.

I often wondered what he wore, and thought either Bremont or IWC

Sure is! 1153S-1969/1970ish I'd say.
Agree about the diver too-980.022 perhaps....👍

I was going to say 1153S for the Carrera, but the blue-ish color of the subdials and chapter ring was throwing me off. Probably just the aged color of the old photo.

I thought the diver might also be 988.013.

But I'm with you on the 980.022, the case looks a little more like the Monnin style and it has a jubilee bracelet.
