Thanks for sharing @jucarbon! Great to see there are a few options available.

Did they also tell you this is limited to 3 months as @bobnbeck noted above?

Are you thinking of 'upgrading' @Hubert? I really want one, but 46mm is huge!

It looks cool. I saw it in steel before. Makes me wanted to have one even though i dont have the connected. At least that was my first impression.

Received the exchange email from TAG these are the options: I went with option number 2 since I have the modular connected. The 46mm looks good also but I have various straps that I can interchange. Bye Connected OG.
I’m tempted by #3 or #4 as I like the connected watch and like the idea of a mechanical too. However I wanted to check something as #1 is a 46mm and name is special edition vs the others all say 45mm and describe it just as a mechanical. Does anyone know if #1 and the others are in fact all the same mechanical watch ? The part number AWBF2A80 can be found online and appears easy to purchase and hence not as exclusive as I thought this upgrade was going to be.

The only option that is special edition is #1 46mm. The other options are the regular mecanical module for the 45 connected, plus they give you additional lugs, strap and buckle for $1500.00. I went this route because I have the connected 45 watch.

I have been considering it. I still use my original Connected 46mm regularly (in addition to my 45mm Modular). I have been debating going for the 46mm mechanical option, since that will not have the ugly top/bottom caps of the 45mm module. What do you guys think?

The lack of top and bottom lugs are what draws me to the exchange watch over the mechanical module, although I tried the later on and thought it looked good even with the lugs.

I may have to go and try it for myself. I hate those caps on the Connected Modular 45mm.

From the photo posted earlier, it does look like the 46mm has top and bottom lugs and thats not the same as the photo you posted.

Does anyone have a real world photo of the 46mm mechanical and can confirm it doesn't have the ugly caps?

Just going through all the options and still cant figure out what makes the most sense. I'm leaning towards 1/2 because I didn't really use the smart watch feature much and may just permanently go back to mechanical watches.

#1 - Pay 46mm connected + $1500 = you get a Special Edition 46mm Mechanical. (why can't they just let us keep the OG connected!)
Doesn't the 46mm connected come with titanium everything?

Total paid: $3000
Received: use of OG Connected for 2 years and 1 new mechanical watch Special Edition 46mm valued at $1500? or $3000? How do we value this?

#2 - Pay 46mm connected + $1500 = you get the 45mm mechanical module ($1650) with better components - titanium buckle $220, titanium lugs $850, black rubber strap $115. (prices from Accessories page https://www.tagheuer.com/en-us/watches/tag-heuer-connected/accessories-and-straps

Total paid: $3000
Received: use of OG Connected for 2 years and 1 new mechanical watch valued at $2835

Option 1 and 2 are fairly similar in terms of value

#3 = Pay 46mm connected + $1900 = you get the standard issue 45mm connected (Steel bezel, black rubber) + mechanical module ($1650)

Total paid: $3400
Received: use of OG connected for 2 years, 1 new CM45 + mech module worth $3200

If you were to just go and buy the CM45 + mech module would get it for $3200

#4 = Pay 46mm connected + $2150 = you get ceramic CM45 ($1700) + mechanical module ($1650)

Total paid $3650
Received: use of OG connected for 2 years, 1 new CM45 + mech module worth $3350

#5 BONUS option - Keep the Connected OG, just buy a Carrera Calibre 5 for $1700

Total paid: $3200
Received: OG connected + new Carrera Calibre 5 for a total worth $3200

Yes, that photo is showing a 45mm mechanical module. I called TAG Heuer in the US this morning and asked for an actual picture. Will post it here if they send it.

This is from last year but it's got a better picture of the replacement watch:

Hi @jucarbon where did your first image come from? The one with the four steps. Is this an email/ image from TAG Heuer?

Yes from the email The Tag Boutique sent me.

Thanks. Could I ask if you can send me a copy of that email? Info@calibre11.com

TAG Heuer HQ believes there could be some incorrect information in that graphic.

Thanks!
