Picked mine up today and I have to say, it's excellent! Clean, simple design watch face, chunky, rubber strap like the original Connected but feels more substantial. Couple of weeks overdue from the time they said it would arrive, but worth the wait, it looks mint. Not had a proper look at it yet as only picked up at lunchtime... but the packaging, box, materials is all high quality, much classier feel to it than the Connected box. Looks the part and looking forward to wearing it as my daily, switching with my solar-powered Seiko Astron GPS in summer months...

it’s a shambles - pretty much now 100% sure I am going to sell mine as this has been enough to put me off Tag for the foreseeable future
Tag aren't great at communicating when deliveries are supposed to be landing, it's quite hit and miss. They've also made it clear to the lady who was arranging my trade-in that they will shortly be stopping the trade-in altogether as it's a faff. Prefer to give you money off another Connected model or higher priced model from the current range. The Limited Edition version has been a pain to administer.

I am still waiting - I have emailed them again to find out what is going on.

It’s been a shambles to be honest.

Sounded like a good idea when announced by Tag Heuer but they've made a complete mess of the implementation of this offer.
Hopefully you'll receive your exchange very soon.

These three exchange options have different prices... are they asking you the same amount for any of the three options?

If you have to pay the same for any of the three options, I would go for the Carrera WAR201A, because then you get the most valuable watch for the same money, and because the Connected is part of the Carrera family, and it should be only replaced by a Carrera automatic 😉

Yes, it seems this exchange program was not well calculated by TAG Heuer.
It was much better the “Connected to Eternity” solution for the Connected 2nd generation: the Connected Modular and the mechanical modules.

For a Connected Modular owner, the option to buy just the Carrera Calibre 5 (or the Carrera Calibre 16) mechanical module is a very good option to own one TAG Heuer smartwatch + one automatic Carrera (Modular in addition), for very little more money than just one standard automatic Carrera.

In fact the price to exchange the 1st gen Connected for the mechanical Calibre 5 Special Edition is very similar to the price of the Calibre 5 mechanical module for the Connected Modular... and you don’t have to return the smartwatch module, and you don’t have to wait two years to enjoy the mechanical watch!

They are the same for the Carrera and the Aquaracer ($1950 CDN) and lower for the Formula 1 ($1000 CDN)
After much thought and realizing that I don’t have a Formula 1 in my “collection” I plan to go that route

In that case the most interesting economic offer is for the Formula 1, and this one is very nice! 👍

Well ... I finally got it on the 23rd of December ... only waited for 10 months - handed in the original connected on the 17th February.

I am now 99% certain I am going to sell / trade it in against an Omega.

it’s still sitting in the box which is a shame as it is a lovely looking watch I just have lost all trust with Tag.

Mine goes in Monday and “they say” 2-3 weeks for the replacement Formula 1

Right folks ... could do with some help.

as I mentioned previously I am definitely going to sell this and buy an Omega I have my heart set on .... so two questions.

1/ where would be the best place to sell ?
2/ what would be an approximate price I should try and sell for (brand new and unworn obviously)

thanks for any input.

Ross
