I love it aesthetically in... Just not sure a42mm watch is for me. Wish I had tried a stock autavia for size now. I guess I have 12 minutes to decide!
I thought that too, but decided to go for it in the end as, given the bezel means a smaller dial, it wears OK on smaller wrists. Here's the standard Autavia on my 6.5" wrist if it helps. Height is the main issue - it won't go easily under a shirt sleeve, but I guess I'll mostly be wearing this one informally.

I got one! 😁
David, might need your help later with the shipping/billing details if that's ok.
Congratulations on such a great effort!

Trust me you won't suffer from vertigo; my Calibre 16 43mm Carrera is thicker than this baby.

Well the bezel and dial are the same size, but it's been said that the MH bezel lends a smaller feeling to the watch.

I don't really agree with using the Siffert name and colors on an earlier-style Autavia, and really truly wish it had a tachymetre bezel like the watch Jo Siffert actually wore (which would also have helped set this one apart from the Jack Heuer one) but what the hell I guess I'll give it a whirl.

David, great project and this must have been a chance of a lifetime for you and Hubert also by the sounds of it. I think we all owe you a round of applause.
I have ordered mine and hopefully as we live in the same country now, we can meet up for a chat one day over a flat white (a Downunder fav) and compare limited edition numbers on our Siffert Autavias. I'm presuming all this effort afforded you 1/100. Job well done, thanks.

I'm so torn...I want it, but I don't think it's a good financial decision right now. 🙁

Congrats David, it looks great! I might be the minority here, but my personal favorite part of this watch is the black strap. At least from the images, it looks like the thin, plain, black corfam straps the earliest Carreras and Autavias had. Clean and simple, just like Jack wanted.

Wow really nice! Look forward to pictures popping up in the forum once you guys get your deliveries 😀

Ps. Way out of budget for me but I would love to own one

That is a great effort DC and I think really nailed it. Fixed the small issues there were with the original and brings some of the best features together for a better packaging....of course the Siffert connection is cool.

Certainly the pick of the bunch and there’s part of me that really wants one, and this one but it’s still that height of the watch that kills it a little for me.

I will have a serious think still, but by then may be too late to get one 👎

Firstly, a massive thank you to DC, Hubert and the rest of the team who worked to put this together - and arguably more importantly given us mere mortals a fair chance to get one by being a member of this great forum.

I absolutely love it - every detail to me is spot on, personal highlights outside of the already great Autavia details are the caseback and balanced blue highlights.

Can not wait to recieve it.
