So I called TNT, because my package has been stuck in customs for the last two days.

The TNT representative provided me a FedEx tracking number and instructions to fill the IMPORTER ID INPUT RECORD Form (CF5106) to clear US Customs. I just completed the form and emailed back to FedEx.

I asked what would have happened if I hadn't called, and FedEx told me I would have received a letter on the mail, since the shipper didn't specify a phone number.

So for people in the US, if your package is stuck in Customs, you need to call TNT (1-800-558-5555) to get the FedEx Tracking Number and instructions to fill the form.

I got the FedEx tracking number automatically, but the same Form 5106 issue. Unfortunately the FedEx agent on the customer service line gave me an invalid email address to forward the form - can you let me / us know the address you sent yours to?

Customer service rep #2 (after 20 minutes) gave me paperwork@fedex.com , which returns an error message saying that they don't recognize my tracking number. Currently trying rep #3.

This is fun!
Both the TNT & FedEx representatives provided me those emails. Ask to be routed to the FTN department to speak with someone there.

Thought you might like to see this- the prototype of the Siffert Autavia.
- The first dial was a "silvery" white, with a slight metallic finish. This was changed to a plain opaline white for the production watch
- You can see here the aged lume
- White date wheel
- Still has "Heuer 02" on the dial
- The blue also changed, although hard to see from this shot. The final blue was a lighter, brighter blue than the prototype

The details aren’t details. Were you able to hold on to the prototype?

No, the prototype Siffert went back. Here are a few more...the dial was too close to the Jack Heuer 85th and t he yellow lume didn't look right

..and here is an early design mock-up, trying out a design based on the 2003 "Siffert"

This was the original caseback. I was in two minds, and decided in the end that it was better to go with a more subtle Calibre 11 branding.

The final watch itself was signed off before there was an agreement with the Siffert family, so it was going ahead without the signature and name. I then met with Jo's son Philippe last year in Switzerland and over lunch I explained the project and secured his support for the signature and the branding

..and before the White and Blue was signed off, we played around with another design. You can see the contrast between the "silver/ yellow" dial on the left, which was the same dial colour as used on the Siffert prototype shown above and the final production Siffert...much whiter!

I actually quite like the vintage-style lume. It looks great on my 1163T, why not on this?
