Autavia is dead again?

I just noticed that the Autavia line has totally disappeared from the website again. Do you think they are planning another new 'Autavia' or just giving up?

Would be nice to see a refreshed Autavia line that is more heritage inspired given the new F1 sponsorship, but I don't see them doing that. Not only has TAG Heuer moved away from heritage type pieces in recent years, the current Formula 1 case has visual cues from the old Autavias.

From what I've heard, I wouldn't say giving it up but place on the back burner again...ashame though, with their new partnership with F1, I feel it's a lost opportunity to rebrand the Autavia

I agree would make more sense to have the Autavia as a 'heritage' piece given we already have the Carrera in 26 different styles serving every kind of customer.

Hey, if it's truly on the back burner might be 3-4 years out. Too good of an IP resource to discard, no way a brand that is so embracing of its heritage lets an opportunity like that go. Perhaps they keep trying every few years til they get a hit.

If the 2017 Autavia launched in 2027 perhaps it wouldn't be 15.6 mm thick. So much has changed in the past few years since 2017.

Not being a vintage fan, so taking the latest models at face value, I won’t miss the Autavia.

It’s clearly popular with you guys, so no offence meant, but it really just isn’t for me.

You actually reminded me of why I still can't warm up to the new glassbox. I never cared for the curved bezel on those Autavias and the glassbox didn't make it better by making the curvature even more pronounced and putting it under glass. Just not my cup of tea. 🙄

I actually liked the steel bezel one, just not enough to buy

That said, I think this release should've just been called the "Isograph" or something since the design deviated so far from the original Autavias.

Funnily enough I was at Cheshire Oaks yesterday and had a look in the Tag Heuer outlet.
Nothing really exciting but I did spot the previous generation Autavia (CBE 2110) on the lesser seen bracelet.
Remembering RRP was about £4k I thought it would be maybe £2 - £2.5k ? But no, RRP was showing as £6400 (IIRC), so with the outlet discount it was now only £4550 !
But you did get both the strap and bracelet for that and a 5-year warranty.
Although not factually 100% correct at all times, the sales assistant did a really good job of informing and enthusing, which makes a change from most of the watch shops I’ve been into recently.
My general consensus was a feeling that there were no bargains to be had.
Would have been nice to have seen some accessories too.

Was this one actually ever released? I can’t recall ever seeing one anywhere other than press photos.

Do you mean like the Pure Link steel bracelet or the Gulf/F1 bracelets (and their matching cufflinks). Would be nice to see again.

Only saw it on sites like this, perhaps even Chrono24. But could never tell if it's legit but didn't matter anyway. My imagination tells me if anyone ordered from these sites they'd get a "we're out of stock" or "couldn't source" update sometime a few days later.

I really liked the bronzed case with the green/fade dial face. If they'd done that colour scheme in a chronograph i would very likely still be picking bits of phalanges out of my molars.

IIRC it was in the original Isograph release schdule, but was dropped when they changed them to Calibre 5s
