And also, not that the mid tier sector watches have any finishing actually made by Swiss hands right so it is just the assembly and regulation? Some Breitling executive was on the ABTW podcast recently and he explained the reason companies like theirs get so crisp executions between brushed and polished surfaces is that they have automated robots doing it. So there is probably more handfinishing (i.e luxury?) with the Chinese versions 馃榿

Good to know that those Grand Seiko polishing masters can be easily replaced by robots.

This is really evident on my Avenger. It is very sharply cut and finished, great machining.

Excellent delivery timescales, considering I ordered at 14:30 yesterday, and they sized it too. Which leads me to my minor disappointment in that it鈥檚 still slightly too loose. Three links removed too, which would bother me. There is a significant adjustment upwards with the sliding clasp ironically.

I am going to order the tools to adjust it myself. On Amazon there are various options with one option being the hammer and pin tool and another being a tool you lay the bracelet on and you turn the handle to slowly push the pin tool through the link.

Which is the best one to go for guys?

Didn鈥檛 try very hard with the photo btw.

Heyyy! Congrats!

Go with the little blue tool that you lay the bracelet on and turn the knob. Those work just fine.

Thanks. That looks the best option, as can make sure the pin sits nicely flush when refitting.

I assume that I can do it with the bracelet fitted to the watch. Don鈥檛 really want to remove it and risk a scratch on at one. Plus I haven鈥檛 got that tool yet either.

Yeah you can, just be sure to hold it securely of course. I usually put my watch in a valet tray or on a leatherbound book or something so it doesn't scratch up if it moves around while I go at it

Congratulations, @bpsmith. That's at least the third orange Aquaracer on the forum (thanks to @abrod520 馃槈 馃榿).
To be honest, I was 90% there with the orange, but there is no doubt that the last photo鈥檚 certainly finished me off. 馃榾

Well done Mr @bpsmith 馃憤 clearly 100% nicer than the gmt 馃榿
I hear you. I do actually like the GMT, but orange was clear winner.

Wouldn't you think they would have set the clasp in the middle so you could make it bigger or smaller? 馃檮

Congrats anyway! I think you made the right choice

Congrats @bpsmith, enjoy! 馃憤
Nice choice. I refrained from commenting until now, as I feel one's watch selection shouldn't be a popularity contest. But the Orange is easily my pick over the GMT as well.

It had crossed my mind to stipulate that, but I assumed it would be common sense. Minor issue on an excellent deal in fairness.

Quick question about the movement @abrod520, as you have the same model Seamaster and Aquaracer. How does the winding feel between these two watches. Just checking as I have only ever round these two watches and the Aquaracer feels totally different to the Seamaster. Normally I wouldn鈥檛 question this, as they are totally different watches, but with the issues with the Calibre 5 I thought I would ask. Aquaracer winding feels heavier and I can feel/hear it when winding. Seamaster is barely noticeable on both in comparison.

Also, how many full turns if the crown will get me from zero to fully wound? Generic guidance on TAG Heuer鈥檚 website suggests 30-40 times. Is this full turns? I notice when I wind by hand each time I move the crown equates to about a half a turn, so would need to double that figure?

I owned also the last Seamaster Diver 300m.

And yes, I confirm 馃槈

Brilliant. I am still awaiting my watch winder. Was agreed within my deal, but it is being sent separately. Should be with me in a couple of days.

I will cease my winding then. 馃榾

I would cease now and wait for the winder. Ideally don't change the date either. Just leave it in the box and look at it from time to time
