Does anyone experience problems with Android Pay after the update? It disables itself...

Yes, same here. It’s a bug of Oreo 8.0.0.

This particular update is terribly glitchy. Settings aren't sticking, resets are frequent, I'm not happy with it.

Battery life is vastly improved. I turn my watch on at 8am and off at about 8pm. Yesterday it was 50% when I turned off and today, at 2pm, it's at 24%. That's insane. Lovely!

It's not a bug. Read around the internet apparently Android Pay (Google Pay) on ANDROID WEAR is only OFFICIALLY compatible in US and UK. For all other countries around the world (including mine in Canada), it's disabled shortly after you enable it. This is ridiculous. Likely similar legal issues as with Samsung Pay that just made it to Canada on phones only,.....none of the Gear watches have it.

It makes no sense, in Spain Android Pay is officially supported and in fact it worked in my watch with Android 7.1.
I hope Google fix it in the next update.

Here's what I'm running-- FYI, the battery stats problem has reappeared... however battery life is so incredible, not much reason to check it lately! (Over 40% remaining, 14hr day)

Otherwise running smoothly.

How do I get the Android Wear update?

I don't have it either...even though it's official and out (2.8) my Google Play shows no update for either phone or watch. I hate when they stagger these roll outs by country or carrier or whatever. I can only imagine that is why some don't have it yet

Has anyone else noticed after the latest update, if you have the display set to always on, when it goes into ambient mode now the display goes to brightness level 1, which I can barely see. This is driving me nuts! I'm sure they are trying to improve battery life, but I had no problems with the battery life before. Before it went to brightness level 2 in ambient mode which I thought was perfect. Does anyone know of a way to override this?

Hi Lance , I reported it to Tag customer services who will pass on to google. I don't think there is anything that can be done at our end. Unless google can find a way to keep the batt optimised ( I'm now averaging around 3% per hour) and improve ambient mode brightness I'm guessing there is a trade off to be made and I suspect more users will favour improved batt life over a brighter ambient mode screen? All speculation of course!

Let's see anyway. I still can't see my batt stats on my phone.

Tag did contact me yesterday to ask me to send a bug report from my watch direct to google. I thought that was just about Android Pay but it is supposedly regarding all the issues I reported.

Thanks,

Chris

Exactly, this is weird. AP was working on Android 7 before. Google website contains info about supported banks and my country is there.

8.0 for a while now with very poor battery life. Suggestions on any setting tweaks?
