Probably overthinking this & have looked at the T&Cs, but anyone else previously bought a watch from an AD, and returned it for a full refund after a few days if not happy with it?

I haven't (yet). Sorry to hear that this one is not gelling with you (yet). I have had the experience of buying one, then being a little disappointed/not as enthusiastic with it, only to later realize that I truly love it after some time on the wrist.

I’ve always thought that once the bracelet is sized etc that a refund isn’t possible. Or if they do, they’d likely give store credit rather than a refund back to a card etc.

that’s a shame if you are not happy with it. What do the T&Cs say?

Went to pick up my Omega Speedmaster today, it has popped the Monaco to be the next incoming (celebrating the birth of my son).

Unfortunately I want the new push/ easy adjustment clasp so AD is seeing if this can be sourced. If not I collect Tuesday before the 7% price increase. (Have managed a 15% size discount currently).

Leta hope I don’t overthink and decide on the Monaco on the day!
BTW: After the latest price increase, the sapphire sandwich Moonwatch is apparently now 8500 EUR in continental Europe
::facepalm1::

I really think that some brands are completely losing it in their quest to (over)compensate lower sales volumes by higher prices (because no - this is not to adjust for CHF-EUR fluctuation since the FX has now been stable for a while). But if they successfully pull that off, kudos to them…

I returned the Mariokart Cal 16 to Harrods, who first mentioned that they didn't have a return policy, then they mentioned I'd only get store (Harrod's) credit, but I finally got the money back. I think it was a matter of other clients on the waiting list and that I have a relation with them

Buyer's remorse?

I don't think so, great watch and technically impressive. I cannot get a good fit on the bracelet (yes I know a strap monster) but I like the bracelet and want to wear it that way.

Size is fine, but at home the dial seems to large, with a small bezel. Maybe one that's better in pictures in flesh (so yes maybe buyers remorse).

As buying as celebratory piece, I want to be fully happy.

I'd rather return (t&cs say not happy in 30days original condition etc take back) mine came with no stickers on but I have the hang tags, then look at getting one of the others.

Or i could sell for a slight 'profit' I guess but thats a ball ache

T&Cs state provided returned as bought (now they sized the bracelet in store) & removed the hang tags. It came with no stickers, as I queried brand new or display.

Yep, I got a good deal 15% off the old RRP and it went up 8.8% the next day

Thanks, I'll email my contact and just be truthful, happy to deal with them still and purchase something else and have the difference returned.

Well, they’ll only size a bracelet after you have agreed to buy it so see how that one plays out. Hopefully they’ll let you return it. Have you spoken to them yet?

BTW, which watch are you planning ro return? If it's the Moonwatch, then definitely try to return it and not sell it. I recently went through the proces of selling my 2021 sapphire sandwich (Cal 3861 new model) and it was quite difficult to offload it. I was getting a huge number of purchase requests but at £4500-4750, and finally managed to sell ot at £4900 on Chrono24. I was still happy because I got the first batch at a 25% discount, so still made money - but took frustratingly long. And also that Omega box is not small and adds to the bulk for the shipping.

Yes the Moonwatch, wow good discount you got.
I’ll see what I can do.

If it says 30 days then hopefully you will be okay...

If you’re not 100% happy, I say return it and continue your quest. If they value your business then they should take it back. Hopefully they either have something else you’re interested in today or will make a good impression that you consider them tomorrow.
