Trying to create a non date, symmetrical dial Aquaracer.

As to why - non date dials look 100% cleaner.

 

But... how would you refinish the dial? Or are you gonna glue two half dials together or something?

I dislike quartz if I’m honest. Happy put up with my Seiko Arnie. Probably wouldn’t turn down a quartz Cartier Tank as no seconds hand.

Even my Seiko alarm clock whilst quartz has a sweeping seconds hands which I prefer.

 

Went to pick up my Omega Speedmaster today, it has popped the Monaco to be the next incoming (celebrating the birth of my son).

Unfortunately I want the new push/ easy adjustment clasp so AD is seeing if this can be sourced. If not I collect Tuesday before the 7% price increase. (Have managed a 15% size discount currently).

Leta hope I don’t overthink and decide on the Monaco on the day!

Although for me, I find the Monaco to be more special. The Speedy is an easy daily wear kind of watch. The Monaco not as much for everyday, but when I strap it on, it feels like an "event".

Thanks @Mspeedster I’d probably agree, the Speedy doesn’t fee luxury, yet oddly the Monaco does.
However as bought to eventually pass to my son. (My daughter has the BB58) I’d wear the Speedy more & have the memories off that.

 

I don’t think you should worry too much about the adjustable clasp. The speedy links are pretty small anyway so getting a good fit s/b fine.

Omega adjustable clasps are also usually not that great anyway in my experience as i find they tend to offer less adjustability than others - but obvs if you can get it all the better.

 

Speedy has the micro adjustment on the buckle to. Only 2 positions but I find I can get a good fit removing 2 links and sitting on the outside adjustment.

It’s only a 2 stage adjustment apparently. So a tool less version of the 2 holes…

 

Very similar to the glide lock system on the Sub. Just not as much length. Better to have it than not if it can be had.

 

Probably overthinking this & have looked at the T&Cs, but anyone else previously bought a watch from an AD, and returned it for a full refund after a few days if not happy with it?
