When @Hubert opens his TAG Heuer museum, I will be a first day attendee!

Congratulations to the new owners! This is a watch alot of Heuer/TAG Heuer enthusiasts have been truly waiting!

 

Congratulations to everyone who will be able to get hold of one. From what I hear TH have gone out of their way with this one with a few details that will be a first for the glassbox. Really excited about the release. I have however decided not to pursue one. I hope my chronomatic panda will provide decent comfort when I see all those great shots of you guys showing off your pandas
I have bought plenty of watches recently and have another (TAG) Heuer coming in in a couple of weeks so plenty to look forward to.

I wonder what they will do when they eventually have re-issued all the good stuff. Go another round and re-issue it all once again I suppose.

 

I haven't noticed those odd black hour markers before. Did they do this on the new one too?

 

And the rusty looking lume?

This is the second execution dial with shorter markers with a black insert and only lume dots at 3 and 9. The Carreras with contrasting subdials arrived with the second execution.

From what I hear I get the same feeling. Which normally I wouldn't appreciate but in this case, I feel it's appropriate to reward those of us who have stuck with TAG through some of the harder times and have found a way to love them anyway.

 

Well both the boutiques I've spoken to in the UK still know nothing about this release. You guys are now getting me worried as to whether I'll be able to get hold of one. On the other hand, seems like nobody else is asking, and they still have stock of most limited editions. I've been offered a red glassbox, the gold "JH" and a WoS panda instead already.

 

Aren't we expecting it next week though?

 

Oh, I have. With both the London flagship and one nearer my place of work. They've told me not to worry, but at this point, I have more information than they do about it!

This is curious. My US Boutique contact knew about the plans for this watch many months ago. Most if not all the US Boutiques started their pre-orders yesterday and Australia even earlier. I wonder if the UK Boutiques have a different strategy?

I also wonder if the percentage of allocations by country changes depending on certain factors. For example I was told that the US would only get 30 of the blue Porsche RS 2.7 Carreras, a number that I thought was low. It seemed to sell out before the watch was announced. OTOH, that watch seemed available in the UK for weeks after its release.
