Standard leather quite a bit cheaper than aligator leather, if that's what is it and not just printed. That's a 100 euro difference in retail at least. And then there's the pin buckle as opposed to the deployant. I favour the pin buckle as the other is so massive but it's quite a bit cheaper also. Atelier Romane just released a deployant that looks really good though.

That looks a bit like the butterfly clasp from Rios, which I am already using on 2 or 3 watches (and which has a screw going through the hole adjusting the length):

I prefer the Heuer deployant - good job I kept it, and two rally straps when I sold my 160th.

Most of us heritage Heuer Carrera owners have swapped out our croc straps for racing rally leather straps anyway. So the 60th is coming with the "correct" strap from that point of view.

I prefer it for convenience too, but a Heuer pin buckle is more authentic in terms of looks.

Also, the OEM croc straps were 19mm tapering down to 18mm at the clasp. I prefer more taper, so went with 19mm to 16mm at the buckle for my aftermarket straps. I wonder what the taper will be on OEM strap of the 60th? I hope it's 16mm at the buckle.

I do wish that TAG would make a beads of rice bracelet for the glassbox Carrera, similar to the bracelet made for the heritage Autavia.

If they use their off the shelf Heuer buckles 16mm it is.
Agree about the double BoR, however a bit less shiny next time please. I never wore that one on the Siffert. That was of course a much bigger watch and the extra bracelet with all that bling was too much for me.

I would be first in line for a beads of rice for the glassboxes!

And the shinier the better, obviously

Yes, a pin buckle is likely to be 16mm taper. Jim was just saying about how he'd love a beads of rice for his 160th earlier.

EDIT: And right on cue... :)

Ouch, a little higher than I had hoped. Back on the fence again.

Based on Anthony's AUD price, I was hoping more like $7200. I'm not surprised at $7400, but really questioning if it's worth it for me. At under $7K, I'd buy in a heart beat. I know a few hundred dollars shouldn't matter, but it's a mental thing, since I also really like the WOS which is about a grand cheaper.

Which makes total sense, because it's bigger and more limited....

Bigger yes, but the WOS was limited to 250, the 60th ann. will be 600 pieces.

I think he meant bigger in terms of size (the Elegant) versus hype/anticipation?

This is the 1960s Heuer Carrera display in the TAG Heuer museum.
“ 3 out of the 4” done already thru 39mm Glassbox?

PS: Some might have missed this video. A truly remarkable history of TAG Heuer/Heuer. I think no watch company rivals this history  (I’m a bit biased :D:p)

Some of us have gotten our pre-orders in place. If you want one, then don't wait. I suspect this will be sold-out by the time it's announced.

    I agree.
Will sell out within hours I'm guessing.
Especially if some people are ordering 2 at a time ;)
