Your non favorite Geckota! But the mesh feels very qualitative in comparison to the straps. Mesh has many many good reviews on their shop and price is decent.
Got a response from Lobtime. They don't carry anything that will fit and they do not have tailor made services to custom make something. It's ok, swapping straps and bracelets are part of the fun of this hobby. But honestly, for the 60th, I feel nothing will top the OEM racing rally strap for me. It's so perfect for the watch.
I've tried a few different options now. But I'm back on the black rally (deployant version). As seems to happen with all of the Carreras I've owned, going right back to my first, the CV2113, and second, the JH80th. Tag really do a great Carrera rally strap.
I've resisted the urge to try other straps for 2 weeks since getting my watch, mainly because I love the OEM strap so much. I figured whatever else I try, I know I'll eventually revert back to the OEM strap. But being who I am, I just can't leave well enough alone. So today was the day to try other straps. As expected, this watch looks great with just about everything. First up is this burgundy brown strap from GLC. I think it gives a bit more color and sportiness to the overall look.
I also finally tried on the Forstner BoR, which I was previously wearing on my Dato. I wasn't sure if it would look too silvery on a silver dial, but I really like the look!
3 great combos there. I do like GLC straps a lot and I think they'd have a few that would go well in a vintage sort of style. I have a nice dark blue GLC rally which I bought for my reissue Carrera, but that's 18mm width so slightly too narrow for the 160th. But maybe I'll try it on the GLC soft black with white stitching I bought for my Grand Seiko at some point - that's 19mm. I tried it on my GS blue croc the other day. Looked OK but I didn't keep it on that one for very long.
Mine number 54 i use my racing strap pigskin in black , next week i make camel one it s nice also i think.
Gorgeous looking strap! Looking forward to seeing what the camel one looks like. Who knew we had a famous strap maker as a long time forum member?! mine has sold to a vintage Heuer Carrera collector in the Netherlands. He indicated only two CBK221H’s were delivered to the Netherlands and I’ve pointed him to this thread. Nice to have accounted for 20 panda Carreras!
Awesome shot @Mspeedster ! I also believe we are both in the USA and to be more exact, southern California. Coincidence...
