Not true, it’s designed by Tag Heuer in Switzerland.
It’s like the iPhone, made in China (Foxconn) but designed by Apple in the US.

The crown gap on the E4 models drives me crazy.

Yes, it seems that it is in a position to set the time…not even the date! ::facepalm2::

I had a chance to try one on Sunday and whe the crown doesn't look great on the Steel model the Titanium model I tried it wasn't as noticeable.
On the plus side it's super easy to grip between the Thumb and index finger.
One thing I didn't check was if the orientation can be switched between left wrist wear or right wrist wear.

I am glad I have the titanium E3, I think I’ll stick to that for the next 2 years! Screen brightness and battery life would tempt me though

Indeed. Even if the 4100+ is already 2 years old, the new 5100 and 5100+ still have up to a year to be completed. Why? Because the initial reaction to a leak a year ago was negative: basically, not much improvement in terms of speed was touted, since it carries over the same Cortex A-53 core as both 4100s (while there are more powerful cores in existence already). That, and strides made by pretty much every other OS than WearOS 2 in what regards battery life, made Qualcomm go back to the drawing board.

Seemingly the Cortex A-53 will stay put, so improvement in speed will not be a focus (if you own a 4100 or 4100+ smartwatch -- e.g., Ticwatch Pro 3 & E3, Skagen Gen 6, etc. -- you know there's already a noticeable performance jump over 3100). So the focus will be on battery life amelioration (to be even further improved later on with WearOS 3).

It seems that people still refuse to leave their smartwatch charging throughout the night (switching to a 'fitness band' -- e.g. Fitbit Sense -- for superior sleep monitoring):rolleyes:

Talking about full night charging, I guess that's not an issue as TH now advertises the night mode on the Gen4...

Looks like Tag recently made changes to their product web pages and now have a nice 3D rendering of the different watch models that you can rotate - the screen is even showing the correct time and date info ;-)

I had a chance to play with E4 again today.
Just an update on Straps. E3 will fit no problem on E4 but not the other way around.

Definitely will go with the Titanium model as my choice. 1 week to go.
