Interesting timing. I've had mine a couple of years, and all has been fine - except that I went for a swim, got out the pool and the bezel had fallen off almost identically. Took it back to the TH store in London (where I purchased from initially) who confirmed that the casing was just showing wear and tear and they would get it off to the service dept.

So, some pretty awful behaviour from Tag service department. Despite the shop inspection confirming that all I had was wear and tear, they initially tried to fob me off with saying their was evidence of a significant impact that caused the detacthment. They even described what they claimed to be seeing, although wouldn;t provide photographic evidence. I rejected that and asked them to try again - they re-iterated, but then also said that as I was outside warranty that it wouldn't be covered anyway.

I hap to push back a third time (including pointing out that it would fail the reasonable expectation of UK consumer rights law to say that the watch face should pop off after 2.5 years and not be covered) before a supervisor finally came back to me, re-iterated the claim that I had damaged the watch, but that as gesture of "goodwill" they would replace the watch anyway.

Too be honest, not a lot of goodwill left after that miserable exchange, and I'm left very much doubting that I will invest in an E5 if/when it comes out

Sorry mate, but that watch looks like you've mishandled it, either that or it's a fake. The strap's all scratched up and the crown is unrecognizable. I've had mine for almost a year, and it's been banged about a bit, but still looks pristine and in one piece.
Send it to Tag Heuer service dept - if you dare - and they'll sort it out.
They honoured the warranty and replace the whole watch head and it isn’t fake coz it was bought from Tag Heuer boutique in Australia. I work in railways and wear this watch everyday at work hence the scratches and they have given 2 years warranty on new head.
