TAG Heuer Connected E4 Face Detached

Like another customer’s thread, I have just sent my Connected back for the second time, within the first year of ownership, for the screen becoming detached. There appears to be an inherent design flaw. It is designed to be a watch for exercise and activity and it only gets as hot as my wrist or being in the sun. First time was while mowing the lawn, and this time it was somewhere between a big hike or the wave runner where I never fell off. Warranty was good the first time, but now I’m just disappointed in Tag for selling a substandard product that continues to fail me. My request is a credit that can only be applied to another Tag product, and I’ll just go purchase an iWatch on my own. Am I being unreasonable considering it’s less than a year old?

Snap! The face has become detached twice in 6 months. It was repaired back in December and is now detached again 3 months later. I totally agree that it must be a QA or design issue. We shouldn't expect the face to detach twice and less so after a so-called repair.

E4 was only purchased in August last year (2024). It first became detached during November 24, was repaired and returned December 24, and failed again this month (March 25.)

E4 as well. I don’t have the exact date of the first. I have spoken with the original dealer from Grand Cayman, and although he was nice and apologetic, they were not about to take it on trade. Tag has to know they have a problem, and a good company owns up to it. I know this is a Chinese product that is private labeled by Tag. Make the OEM own up to their pour design and manufacturing before alienating a customer. As of now, they are going to replace the head under warranty and I’ll have it back by the end of March. If Tag doesn’t step up, it’s going back in its original box and being sold online. At that point, word of mouth advertising by me will definitely persuade others never to touch ANY of their products. I guess I’ll be selling my Link as well🤬

Thanks @shinglis and @chawn for confirming that the model is E4. Edited thread title to add this information for search purposes

Thank you Albert. Sounds like a common problem at this point. Hopefully Tag will act like a world class watch designer and I’ll end up with another watch that is not their digital platform.

Just been updated from Repair center that I have been offerred a replacement watch instead of repair. Opted for the titanium model instead of the existing steel model.

Im happy for you and I hope to hear something similar. Out of curiosity, did they let you know if the titanium version has a different way of attaching the face so it will not happen again? I’m not sure if I have steel or titanium, but I’m going to look at my paperwork when I get home. All I know is we spent $2300 a year ago in March for the original.
