Unlikely, as we're so close to his birthday. But who knows, there could be a surprise. A gold dial with black subdials would be more fitting as a real JH90 IMHO. Jack often stated that the 1158CHN was his favorite Carrera. Seeing this black dial inverted tribute only makes me want an original more.
30k should scratch that itch 😎

I think you should treat yourself for your next big birthday, like when you turn 40 👍 these are insanely nice, but would you peak once you get it and lose interest in the rest. Probably not, it would more likely trigger a desire to collect gold watches and then you would want the JH88 to make it a nice pair, why not this non JH90 to make it a gold trio.

Do it.

Like my mother always used to say, you don't become a real man until you own a gold watch.

While it's convenient to believe that this was conceived as a JH90 and then changed to a regular model, the leaked doc I had last December does not say anything about it being a JH90, being a limited edition, or it having any engravings on it. In contrast, the orange F1 was originally supposed to be limited to 4000 pieces... so maybe blaming Fred for this is somewhat jumping to conclusions? Or it least if it was his doing this was decided well over a year ago...

This year will mark Jack Heuer's 90th birthday. Jack was born November 19, 1932.

TAG Heuer is ramping up towards the celebration and I think we can expect a very special watch.

Some of the filming has already taken place. Here's a picture, from Nicholas Biebuych's Instagram. Nicholas is TAG Heuer's Heritage Director.
Here's the Edge Magazine article from where that picture was taken. The story is about Jack Heuer's meet up with Jean Campiche, rather than Jack's 90th.

You have a valid point. However, recall that it takes years from concept to release. By the time one gets a hold of a leaked doc, many things might've changed from the original concept. And we all know that TAG has done some last minute changes in the past as well. E.g. the Monaco Titan with the boxes that said "Le Mans Edition" before it changed and the Hodinkee x Carrera "Dato 45" being changed to just "Dato".

If there is no "official" JH90 watch, it clearly marks a continued shift away from the old way of doing things, as the string of JH80, JH85 and JH88 will be broken. Regardless of whether it's good or bad, the directional change under TAG's young CEO is very evident.

Did Max give his reasons? Will he tell them again?

Nah he is disgusted by the online trolling he's received from Brazil.
All due to the fact he is a tool and bought it upon himself.

Max should ask Jenson Button for advice on how to conduct himself in future. Mistakes are bound to happen in racing but regardless of how talented you think he was, there was a driver you could have huge respect for. I can't stand how everything that happens to Max is all whinged about as if it's some huge conspiracy against him.

Love how the FIA say they will investigate Sergios Monaco crash but only if another team makes a complaint... 🙄

Today's the day. Happy Birthday wishes from TAG Heuer, but no dedicated watch. Looks like this gold Carrera is the "unofficial" JH90.

Happy Birthday sir Jack Heuer! You’ve been an awesome inspiration to me and to many. The iconic trio (Autavia, Carrera, Monaco) all came from your maverick vision and unquenched passion bridging motorsports & horology together! Cheers to your good health and lasting legacy!
