Nope.... It's like....pure greed.
$8900 AUD retail. If I physically bring it back from AUS I get the 10% GST $890 ($945 NZD) back
If I have it sent to NZ, I have to pay 15% GST of the NZD value which would be $9500 NZD to import, costing me $1425 NZD in tax.
The result being a potential loss of $2370
Waiting seemed a good option but I must admit, I'm getting impatient, hence trying to coax DC to travel to NZ.

I like the strap and there is nothing wrong with the design in actual fact. It was all the hype beforehand that ruined the reveal. I also think the video was rather over the top.

You have to imagine #2 and #3 coming to fruition and I would potentially love #1 but I don't think they will do it because it won't be sporty!

Well yeah, I'm not even talking about the design itself, just how unbelievably lazy it is. The design is same old TAG, nothing surprising here. It's more or less just the next model in the 44mm line, and nothing more, except they put "Porsche" on the bezel instead of the Tachymetre text.
Not as lazy as Rolex are.

For me, to match vintage air cooled 911s, it should be a 39mm glassbox Carrera, and a Panda - Heuer branded of course!

Something along the lines of the highly tasteful (and pinnacle of the modern Carrera line up) 300 SLR.
