C'mon now guys lets be positive. That dance show in the intro was awesome!

So what if TAG hyped this to the skies only to leave most of us disappointed, it was a great pre-recorded live dance show. AND it had a short sequence of Patrick Dempsey looking tired without make-up, slapping his hands in excitement! Plus Patrick promised he will come meet all of us after the pandemic.
Great takeaways 馃榿

This one is just "OK". I like the asphalt treatment on the dial and the different looking leather strap, also the steering wheel rotor on the movement is cool. But that's about it. Even if I liked it more, 44mm is just too large for me.

Hoping to see a TAG Heuer x Porsche 39mm vintage style panda Carrera version or an Elegant Carrera collaboration next.

THIS is what happens when I venture this side of the fence! So...this is nothing new then, got it.
This side of the fence can be scary

To those who haven't tried on the new 44mm Carreras, they don't wear as big as you think. Just sayin...

I've read that too. The lug to lug is a shade under 50mm. I susect it wouldn't look totally ridiculous but it absolutely would be too big for me.

Totally underwhelming release.
For all the marketing hype and to come out with just another Carrera.
Sure some people will be enamoured with it if they are a Porsche fan but I think the majority will pass.

Roughly the same money buys you PDs manufacture 42mm titanium SOSC flyback chronograph. Maybe place TAG Heuer on the bezel?

Porsche Design was bought by Porsche years ago. Some of their watches are only available to buyers of certain Porsche special edition models.
Ah, I take that back. Wonder what will happen with the Porsche Design watches that you currently can buy with a new Porsche?

Yago, I think you have just captured the majority of the feeling in one photo.
See what can be done with some creative thinking and restraint in design and some balls.
Look at that strap on the PD piece. Oooooooozes sexy.

This is why I bought the Fujiwara Fragment design F1, a clean minimilistic dial (Although I haven't tried it on yet as it's still sitting in the safe of an offshore TAG Heuer Boutique 馃榾 Anyone travelling from Brissy (brisbane) to Auckland let me know..... DC @Calibre11 ?
Only 14 days Isolation in a loverly New Zealand petri dish hotel needed.

Anyway, back to design...It's what you leave off that matters, not taking up every little space you have with numbers and text...
less is more.

I'm a fan of the concrete/asphalt finish on the dial of the Monaco 50th but don't think they have got it right on this Carrera.
i.e. Not one for me I'm afraid........

Next!!
