Yes but on these new ones I believe it is not glued on the glass, it is "integrated" within the glass so nothing one could heat and remove

I was thinking further on this, to make a magnifier, it must be a dent ground into the bottom of the sapphire? Sticking a lump on the bottom of the sapphire would shrink the date rather than make it bigger, like looking through the wrong end of a telescope?

high school physics was a long time ago, let me know if I’m wrong

I was going to say isn't the cyclops on the underside of the glass, but maybe DTF has shot this down in flames?

Unless it's concave?

Good point, you could stick on a piece with a concave lens in it.

really we need someone to tear down a new AR to answer this crucial question. Clearly a job for @Aquagraph, debunker of TH myths

Clearly not a job for Aquagraph and his fat fingers!

But yes I was also thinking that it could be a concave cyclops, depends if there's a deep enough gap between the hands and the crystal?

Love this idea! Maybe Rob can do a Kickstarter to fund this project? Includes a lottery where one contributor will win the watch (or pieces left)

Yeah you know I think I soon am about to hit the 200's in the views counter on my H02 video. Not 200 million though. 200...

I think Hubert should do a YouTube channel, he could have a montage at the start where he gets out of his helicopter and strides up his immaculate mansion drive, flings upon the door and flicks opon his cabinet full of Monacos.... awesome!

'King Monaco?
Hey folks, I am the King of Monaco and welcome to another episode of Hubert, hotties and horology. In today's show we shall see how many Patek Philippe 5711's we can fit into this garbage disposal machine. As always, the challenge is to burn as much money as possible in 15 minutes and just have a blast. Lets go!

I watch some of his videos but to be honest, the whole Rolex thing is becoming a bit tiresome. Haven't watched the last few.

Nope! Is it worth my time?
